2 similar events on the same day
Today I recieved the new club letter from the Gold Coast Dub Club,
Guess what?
They are also doing a run on the 31st August,
They are going to O'reileys,
Which is about 30 klms up hill from Canungra.
Its not the same sort of day as far as I know, I dont recall there being any BBQs up there,
There is a skywalk which is pretty cool, where you walk up high in the trees on a man made walkway.
and a cafe, But the cafe is Quite expensive. I have been up there many times on the bike.
Seeing as this is a run for Gold Coast Vee Dubbers I thought I would ask, Is everybody Happy to stay with the BBQ idea at purlingbrook falls?
Or would they prefer a day at O'reileys?
I am happy to do either, The BBQ would most likely be less expensive for lunch than the cafe, but perhaps some of the local VEEDUBBERS would like a
bigger gathering,
People with young children may prefer the laidback BBQ idea, I dont know.
So lets see a show of hands,
Shall we join the other VWs going to Oreillys or
keep with the Plans we have made?
We can always do either run another time time, no dramas.
Just thought I'd Check with the masses

I took my bug up to O'reileys once before !!!
Not again....
Gave my suspension a right hammering.
Suppose my own fault for having front so low.
The last bit where ya drive through tress with the tarmac uneven as, did it for me.
So i'd be missing out if was going up there.....
Like to stick to half decent road surface.

O'riellys is also a nice trip, had a flat tyre there last time and had to change it as soon as it arrived. there doesn't seem to be any
open space up there.
We are happy to go to Purlingbrook falls. Anyone going to bring a frizbee, football or cricket bat?????

well,
I am a member of the gold coast dub club and Bad little buggers too, but organised to do this idependently before I knew about their run,
I think a couple of people coming are from the club, but I know many of them are from klub VW
I will try to avoid doing runs on the same days as other local clubs as sometimes people may want to do both.

Remember the BBQs are $1 operated,
There is a shop close by that should be open but Murphy says it may be closed for our inconvenience so dont count on it.
Adults, kids, kids that want to be adults, adults that want to be kids, adults happy theyre not kids and kids that are happy they are not adults are
all welcome,
Bring your VW bugs, buses,
type whatever you likes,Fridolins, Manxes, buggys, Kitcars, porsche replicas
Herbies, whatever you like, but if for some reason your VW cant attend but you can, then thats ok too
You dont need to be part of any club, its not a club event, its just the Gathering of the faithful.
