Mate has just had new ve ss tuned on e85 and got good results. Cam change, over the radiator intake, exhaust and headers, mafless tune and made 335kw
and 755nm torque!! Some blokes out there with s/c kits on their commodores are making slightly more kw but the same amount of torque. His first run at
willowbank getting feel for the new car on street tyres he ran 11.1@134mph with a tame launch(manual). E85 is definitely something I am looking into
especially for street use that for sure.

You won't get an arguement out of me about the benefits of converting to E85. Especially when used in forced induction applications & its also
street legal.
Sorry for getting off topic though!
But 11.1@134mph with 335rwkws in a full bodied VE!
To me that is 100% fishy to me sorry.
Either the car is completely stripped or it has a hit of juice to run 134mph!
For a 3900lbs VE to run 134mph, it needs at least 700+hp
A normal weighted VZ-VE with around 310-330rwkws will run approx 116-118mph.
I know this, as my own full weight daily driver ute with 313rwkws with a 3800 stall has run only 110mph on ET streets & that was with a shagged
3800 converter & a very lazy 1.8 60ft! (this would be around the same 325-330rwkws if it was a manual!)
This should run a 11.7-11.9@114-117mph. Just waiting for my auto to be repaired (stuff reverse clutch drum) & refit it all with a proper 4200
stall & then head back to the track once the crappy VIC weather clears up!!!!
Was going to fit a 100-125 hit of juice, but decided to spend the $$$ building a proper built 20v turbo engine for my Mk1 golf.
My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

Physics is physics.
A car that weighs x amount, with x amount of power, can only MPH so fast over 1320ft!
Any drag racing nut will say the same thing.
A friend of mines Mk1 which is the same as my own Mk1 Golf in regards to weight, with less power, run 2 tenths slower, but MPH 18+mph more than my own
car!
I have also seen the time slip
Mmmmmm.
Ah well. Maybe its just a freak of an engine then.
Sorry for getting off topic.

Bright Orange! Very nice!
What color is it called by the charts?
The orange that Steve and I used for Beetle Juice was called "Beetle Juice" by the paint supplier.
Looking nice can't wait to see it finished at Warwick.
Only one draw back, it dosent look "ratty" anymore. you may have to change the name now?
Cheers
Andrew
