A boot full of 3" mandrel bends, one 3" muffler, one 3" cat and one 6" X 3" turbo out collector. Tomorrow night I should have a nice turbo back system, looks like no beers for me this Friday night but plenty of TIG sunburn.
:cry

But Sunday it should be alive!

Yeah Matt, Brett has been doing a lot of measuring of my engine. That T pickup is going to be a killer performer. I did the Supercruise with Brett in his current rod.......that thing just sticks to the road like a circuit car, the road through Helensburg (sp) and north was a fast run!. I'm trying to get him to the Huntley hillclimb on the 11th of June.
Dave, I fitted it last night but it needs a small amount of tweeking.

IT IS ALIVE!!!!!

She fired up first turn of the key this arvo. Still got quite a few things to do before the first drive.
It's lost most of the boxer burble, I think mainly due to the headers.
But it still sounds nice....
I'm excited.
Should be this week for a test drive.

Milestone #2
It moves under it's own steam, thanks to Boris at Vintage for the cable shifter clips today, and it makes the fully sickkkk mate noises. Got the pphhhhsssttttt thing happening.
It has a small amount of clutch shudder at take off but they say that the high performance Exedy clutch does that, the front engine mounts are quite soft so I don't think that's helping either.:thumb

The T-Rex is just in the planning stages at the moment, Brett currently has a Ford 28 roadster lowboy with a 2ltr Alfa engine and rear mounted Alfa gearbox. He built all the front "A" arms etc and has just built a EFI unit from kitset (megasquirt) using Suzuki Hyabusa quad throttle bodies. He is a kind of rebel in the hotrod scene. The thing is a weapon and handles. Hope to have some vid this weekend of the Spyder.

Had five runs at the hillclimb last Sunday, was only boosting to 5lbs as I had the boost soleniod bleed line blocked off by mistake. The performance was outstanding but I am in desperate need of an LSD. Fixed the boost problem (now a stock 12lbs) and had a run this evening, the performance increase was insane............say something nice about me when I'm gone!
Look out drags on Saturday!!!!

Dyno today and got a healthy 141.8kW or 190.1HP ATW.
Running a bit lean on the top end, this might be due to using the original fuel pump from the EA82T engine.

I would imagine the EA82T fuel pump would be a little undersized for your application - note how the AFR dives when the engine comes on boost?

I love your car - it must be such a blast to drive !!! I had an EJ20T Liberty Station Wagon, and I can remember how wuick that was - and it weighed about twice what your speedster does !!!!

Ran at the drags today, 12.9, 12.7 AND A 13.? think it was a boost cut fuel due to boost spike, just stood on it's nose over the line?
Had a mate driving as well and by instruction he was not to better my times.
The launches were very sedate and we were short shifting due to the leaning out problems. HAD A BALL..............!!!!
Need to add an original WRX strut between the gearbox and the cross brace to stop the engine twist on the soft mounts, looks like we were getting some wheel hop. I'm sure that there is a low 12 in the car. Hillclimb one weekend, drag the next weekend, so it leaves some circuit stuff next.:thumb
Roll cage is done before the next outing, it has all the mountings and I have the CroMo pipe..good point there:mad:
