Love seeing what the big boys get up to leading up to such a cool event, but also interested in what the little blokes that make up the numbers need
to do to attend....
I need to prep my "drag" car for a 1000km round trip with the usual matainence.... Just to see what difference the close ratios of the 5 speed make
opposed to the stocko box from last year ....Who else is taking the plunge without a trailer ?

Toughen up Ben.... I drove from here to Sydney (via Radiale) back 1994 in my old green bug... Raced it at Oran Park, screamed around Sydney with B4
and AB, then drove it to Melburg, up the GOR, through Radilade and back to Perth....

Hi
Change the oil and do the tappets on my son Davids bug.
Put the gearbox and motor back in my car. I would like to get the Autronic ECU tuned before hand, if I cant I will run it on low boost.

Bec and I have to take the auto box and shifter out of the notch drag car and put it back in becs wagon, wonder if it'll start after 51/2 months
We will be using my 4000rpm converter and the 1800 (4.36) crownwheel and pinion, which should see 7422rpm in top gear @120mph.
It may go a bit faster, but still old tune at 12psi

It's coming up fast! Wired in a two step today and need to do a wheel alignment check and put the lil red rocket on the corner scales just because we
can next week. Few more minor things to take car of but otherwise ready to go.
