Engine survived the dyno, but a bit low on power.
The gauges said it was still rich,(.79lamda) but lost power when leaned off.
Best of 222.1hp@7600.
Pushrods did the job as did the 900lbs springs.
More improvements to come.
More camshaft duration,(currently 264 degree),
better ignition(thinking MSD 8-plus)
Aux venturis to adapt to the injection for better atomisation:

Dave you are always on the edge and I'm damn glad of it. Have you ever thought about preheating your fuel so that it is on the edge of going from a liquid to a gas ? Mike McCarthy

So adapting the aux vents in... you mean mounting little injectors inside them somehow ???

Would they be an always running sort of thing, or extra injectors somehow rigged (fuel pressure ?) to only operate lower in the revs ???

Also that MSD 8 Plus... 315-345 mJ... holy crap batman that's a lot of spark !!!

:punk:

A busy Sunday.
No more steam left, so finish it tomorrow.
Dave,
the Aux venturi's are located in small slots cut into the port wall,
and held in by a grub screw,
then the constant flow nozzle squirts into the other end,
where the carb normally draws from the main jet well.

Hi Mike,
in theory the head temp should be enough to sort out the "turn to vapour",
but methanol can be a pain,
but any theory is worth trying if this gets ugly!

unless I pull my finger out and make my own again.(joy).

Ignition will be about 4 weeks, then dyno before cam change.

Hey Dave.
Do you think maybe the methanol may be taking up to much volume if it is placed all the way up the top. There fore maybe giving you less room for the air to occupy for a good a/ f ratio.
What do you reakon.

I don't think fuel is the problem .I think it's the fuel taking up the room of the air.there for maybe some bigger manifolds .
Just througing it out there.
