Turn Key WRX STi Subaru Conversion for beetle
Michael
Postcode 2221 - Blakehurst Sydney
item - Engine and bits.
For sale is a complete turn key subaru conversion with a late model '02' STi WRX Subaru engine.
Conversion is a 'show' conversion. It's also a late model EJ20 engine, not a 90s model. This makes a BIG difference when it comes to tuning and
programming the engine - do not compare the price to a 90s WRX engine - its not the same.
I had been offered $10,000 plus post but the guy could not get the finance approval.
i am asking for $9,000 + delivery (should be under $200 as i will send via work)
If you are interested and think this is too much, PM me your offer - offers will be considered but not necessarily accepted.
If you do not want this conversion or do not like the price or think the price is unfair, please keep these comments to yourself.
please see this link for full story.
http://aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=67295
Conversion includes everything - engine, ecu, $1500 tune on ecu, sensors, stainless exhaust, brackets, intercooler radiator, plazma man, radiator,
cowling/housing for radiator, pipes, fuel pumps, water pump, reservoir for intercooler, fans, wiring loom - EVERYTHING!

no. 0425 291 825

semaphores, hydraulic clutch, cables for random bits, etc etc.
PM if you need to confirm anything.
If you do not want this shell and pan or do not like the price or think the price is unfair, please keep these comments to yourself.
please see this link for full story.
http://aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=67295

Selling Engine – Compete Engine Package includes
- ‘02’ STi Engine with Around 50,000km’s (Cost $3600)
- Custom Vee Dub Suby Adapter kit ($1395 – see link http://www.customveedub.com.au/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=38 )
- Complete stainless steel exhaust
- ECU with Pulse racing tune and new sensors ($1575)
- SAAS Heavy duty clutch
- Complete loom, already modified for turnkey installation
- Mod engine plate & new bolts
- Mod flywheel & new bolts
- Manifold switch/rotate (no need to cut rear fire wall)
- Mod alternator bracket (and polish up new bracket)
- Make new bracket tensioner and supply belt
- Remove & fit new Shortened sump with extra storage
- weld in sender for oil temp
- Supply of warning light adapter including in car bracket with dumby lights
- Oil change and filter
The full kit list above cost me $9500 – all there for you to see. From memory the exhaust was over a $1000 (full stainless steel).
ASKING $6000
This is turnkey, you just need to get your cooling and intercooler done. Remember the post 2000 suby engines need a lot more tuning work, hence the
$1575 from pulse racing – its all dyno tune time, plus a couple of sensors. No expense paid and no risk – the engine has been proven and tested.
Buying from wreaker sometimes you don’t know if the engine has been damaged. The risk is not there in this cause.

Hi Mick,
Have been wondering how you were doing and was going to ask if there were any striped down photos.
You are only young and there will be plenty of time for you to get another in the future and start all over again. At least you know exactly what you
will want and wont have to go through different incantations.
Take care, Kev

Jack,
sorry, but if you read it all you would see that Mick has pulled the car apart and sold it all off. Read through it all and you will see where he had
things done and if you have to pay someone to do all the work you would be looking at over $40,000.
Hope this helps, Kev

Good bump on this thread, i think this was one of my favorite beetles.
I was devastated when it was parted out - still, that's life!
And Jack, as Kev said it would be a bucketload of cash, but worth every hard earned dollar! I think when a car becomes this tuned, modified and
customized, receipts happen to have a way of disappearing for good (so as to ensure a healthy heart!).
Still, I'd rather spend 40k on a modified beetle that would feel like a stock new car, then 40k on a new car that feels like new stock beetle

Howdy all - the car may come back to life with the guy who bought the shell/pan/engine.
Was a fun car, but life had other priorities - im currently in the middle east going through Egypt Jordan and Israel, so life is grand at the
moment!
Enjoy the thread Jack!

Has anyone seen this around?
The guy pretty much brought most of the car, minus the interior.
It went to production automotive for a little while. - see thread - http://www.productionautomotive.com.au/gallery/darren-simpson-s-58-beetle.html
Keen to know how its going. Tried emailing the guy but heard nothing back.
Also, does anyone know how the interior worked out? A guy called Con bought it off me, but i havent seen how it turned out. I know he got my mate to
finish the rest of the trim for him - i was keen for some photos. Anyone know?
