Damn last night it was women's VB...and I missed the Men's...:duh
Roy and HG were having a slight dig at the NZ rowing team who lost the crew member...I think it was a womens pair...
....well they are well known for knocking.....
They had a trophy for the first person in the games to loose.....some wrestler.....I don't know if they ever get that person to come in and receive
it.....

how do the person fall out arent they ment to be the best in their country at the sport ? WFT ??

This isn't meant to be a sexist remark but these girls might as well be wearing G strings....whats with that.

I must admit that I was please to see 'some' cellulite on the legs of our girls last night...despite them being so athletic....This DID surprise
me...AND made me feel a hell of a lot better!!!.....No time for digital makeovers in the Olympics...
Saw some mens gymnastics last night...mmmmm....I LIKE WATCHING the rings...The floor work made me wince a couple of times...ouch.....
The Dream must have been recorded before this cos they didn't talk about the gymnastics or VB...:duh

My son's just back from the UK....prices were going to be the big killer...not just for tickets....
....and maybe like a couple of the guys here said...the locals will go...but just not buy their tickets ahead of time...
They will certainly need to get more than locals to go to cover costs....
I'd bought extra travel guide books in for Greece thinking that they would have sold....but maybe 1 or 2 only .....

...it's not that Greece is expensive normally....It's a great place to visit...and prices are normally fine....Not a lot of choice with hotels...or
the like...
I stayed in the Plaka when I went.....in a really nice older little place...with a roof top view of the Acropolis.....The people are wonderful...and I
used to sit on a crate in the corner store and drink Ouzo with the owner and chat....It's the best place...

still in santa cruz. think i will head up towards sacremento tomorrow sometime. met some guy on the pier this morning and ended up going fishing for a
bit. ummm, what else, california weather is soo nic and hot and i'm gunna hate it when i go back to england.
oh well, at least when i get back i will only have another 4 months or so before i return to australia. (ooo, and when i get back i'm thinking of
taking the golf for a bit of a road-trip to see some mates in sydney so if anyone wants to catch up sometime in early janurary after i get my p's
then that would be 'hella tight' as the cali ppl say.

I got to work today...after not being there since last Wednesday...to find an email from someone, sent last Thursday, wanting to do 'a hands on
sail' in the Witsundays......She'd been into the travel centre to talk to someone about her plans....She was given my YHA email address (I'm
hardly at travel now...and not at all this week)...and sent me this long email telling me how she went to one place and they were no help...went to
us..and was given my email address to contact me....
I get in to find it this morning as I go through my routine of catching up...and think...SHIT!!!...Why couldn't someone have been able to help her at
Travel.....
I emailed her back giving her the info she wanted.....plus some additional info...
My hours at travel are non existant and I was pissed off so I then sent the email...my response..to 2 managers..OK you choose not to give me hours
there and yet I get THIS email??????
My hours at marketing were halved for tomorrow....hey...I can live on bread and water....I refuse to play games...and the bastard in charge has so
much to answer for.....both at travel and marketing....
The person who refered her on was also in trouble, but he is the senior consultant..and they can't afford to loose him...luckily we like each other
and all is well between us (he's gay...I love him!!)
The person who emailed me...this morning rang Travel aftert getting my email to say she was wanting to book....for herself and friend....!!!!!!! It
was just what she wanted!!!! Argh!!!!!!!
I hope she gets looked after well now...but I don't expect to be told I'm needed on Wednesday........:cussing
Honestly I love my work...and the people I deal with...but management is the worst I've ever encounted in my entire working life!!! They have no
idea!!
....and I don't like to play their games.....
...Hmmmm....maybe this should have gone into the dairy I don't keep....
