I'm a moderator on another VW site in North America and Language would not be tolerated there...
actually, its not tolerated in any of the overseas forums I frequent....
so it means folks, Many of Us aren't using "Normal" language....

What has not swearing in front of women have to do with anything? It's not the 1950s anymore. If you're not going to swear then at least do it to
not offend anyone, any sex, any age. I find the sexist nature of half these posts more offensive than swearing, and most of my previous girlfriends
swear a lot more than me.

well, we've decided that some people have "multiple" log ins, for legit reasons.
Some people have one user name.
Some people have one name and an alter-ego that they use just to have a go at someone else from time to time - (seems Mr Torrens is a target for
that).
Some people have previously been banned for not following the rules, or rather thinking that rules cannot apply to them, as they have a god given
right to make the rules in the first place ... then then can't accept that fact that there is even the slightest possibility that when the aliens
come to wipe the planet, that they won't be chosen as the worlds smartest person to negotiate survival - which of course is easy - as nothing is
better than them - so have returned with a new user name - and forget all previous banning reasons and carry on being Fuckwits.
People with legit usernames (single or multiple) ... dislike Fake Users (aka Fuckwits).
It's hard for mods to spot a fake quickly, so the nice positive people have a moral, social duty to expose Fake Users - who are almost guaranteed to
be Fuckwits.
Non-fuckwits, from time to time, have moments of poor decision, though this does not render them life-time fuckwits - as they are able to recognise
the possibility that they may have been in-correct. This is the ebb and flow of forum life.
Demonic frenzied quoting is a warning sign - it should be used with care - if you reply to almost all threads by quoting, you may need think if this
is a sign...but then if you're a fuckwit then you this would not apply to you now would it.
So fake users, who don't come clean are annoying at best. They usually have some axe to grind, or some politcal agenda they want to push, or perhaps
they never tire of quoting ...
Well, thats what I take out of it ... and seems like 'good' people have no problem in anyone else outing a FAKE user. Name and shame, name and
shame.

problem is.... i get 'fuckwitted' even by people with real names.... 
Everytime i get a u2u, although it has been yonks since its happened (got a defam post, or someone going nuts at me...) lately people just hold the
grudges like barkin' female dogs for the noob i was MORE than 12 months ago... I was under 18 then and hadnt been familiar with any internet forum
socialising with peoples i didn't know..., and therefore had to learn the process of healthy forum socialising and to see the other people on the
forum as real, breathing humans with real feelings, thoughts and emotions. And now that i understand that... i see older people on the forum bag me
out for being $h!t head a while back, despite their own behaviour...
I still do get a little chill in my spine everytime i get a new u2u... They say that in the world, the male is a dieing race, but to be honest, there
still seems to be alot of d#cks around... (if u get hte joke... regardless really of gender)

Why is using the "Quote" function such a taboo?
If you want to comment on a specific part of a comment and would like everyone else to know what you are refering to then is that acceptable use? Why
not hit the F*ckwits where it really hurts them and disable the quote function. Mess with their heads a little!

maybe its the other way round and its the fkwts ( not making references to any fkwts or other normal sanes *now that there appear to be categories*)
that dont want you to use the quote function, cause once they have seen their own stupid dribble in print, the still have the chance
to erase it. once its quoted, then there is nothing the quoted can do. hmmmm. i wonder!

I think the quote function is handy, because it enables you to reply to that quote, not the off topic, thread hijacking, bullshit whinges in between
it and your response.
This net etiquette is a rooly rooly weird thing and I don't think I am ever going to work it out.

Now, if you want to annoy me, this is the way to go about it.
Since about 12 months after Jim Gow had a great idea & kicked off this site, there have been people (and don't think I'm singling you out here Lee)
have felt the need to compare it with other forums.
Let me make this perfectly clear;
I don't give a flying f#ck how other forums are run. I certainly couldn't care less about how foreign forums are run.
When this site kicked off, it was the ONLY Australian VW forum.
If your going to make comparisons, all other Australian VW forums must be compared to this one. Not the other way around. And NEVER to a foreign
forum. They just don't count.
As to the question of language, you said it yourself Lee. Aussie Vee Dubbers.
Go for a walk down the main street of Scone, that pink pub used to do a nice counter lunch, & tell me what you hear is different to what I write.
This is, for the most part, how Aussies speak.
Get on a bus or train full of school kids, then try to convince me that MY language may offend THEM.
For those who feel the need to continually compare this forum negatively with others, the answer is so obvious I don't even feel the need to type it.
Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.

Folks - calm down.
Aussieveedubbers has a set of rules and the moderators here try as best they can to stick to them. If you don't like a post, click the Report button
and we'll take a look at it.
This place has many folks under the age of 18. We opened Bad Attitude to cater for the over 18 type stuff including pictures with nudity. I, and
probably most moderators, turn a blind eye to most swearing outside of Bad Attitude as long as it's not out of context for exactly the reasons Spook
mentions (it's an Australian forum run by Australians for Australians). Kicking other member's heads in, or being a prick or idiot for the sake of
it is not tolerated. That's why it's in the rules that we will warn - then ban if they don't stop - users displaying such behavior. However, we
grow the fastest when we act like a family orientated site and every one is friendly. I prefer that and don't mind when the mods stomp on people
being dickheads.
