HEY HEY HEY!!!.....
hose split just near the green crimp off in the pics above, nothing to do with me mate!........it wasn't leaking, kinked, rubbing, chaffed blah
blah.........just f&4%ing let go..............the fire was barely out before i insisted on opening the boot to check it wasn't the results of any
failures on my behalf..........relieved, i'll tell you!
it was something i wanted to do, but was told it was good injection hose, believe me i'm spewing more than Jeff (who took it with the usual
philosophical view)....cause i again have to fix the car
now something i would like to discuss is wether an injected car needs a rising rate regulator???
and should we do the lines in steel, braided, or just grab new 500psi hose............i was thinking if you went back wards into a wall etc with solid
lines, the chance of rupture would be far greater than with soft, flexible ones??
was it you who left the marble in the fuel tank for me to search out on the Friday Chris?.........certainly wasn't getting enough fuel to burn with that sitting neatly in the fuel pick up

I'll vouch for Daimo being under the front end all day friday.
Nothing to do with the back end.
I was holding my breath when you took your bug out daimo afterwoods.
Thought you may have been a little angry and taken it out on the poor little bug.

On another note.
I think Glen should have entered himself into the olympics.
He shot off out the door no sooner then you heard the bang. could have been dangerous, but shit that was funny watching him run.

the door!.....and that was good thinking too!

yep, Jeff is always insistant on me using the race car for racing and my daily for transport. i try to take that advice whenever possible
the gearbox will never be the same again, but that's ok..........i've got big plans there
sorry i didn't have time to stop Jace, was nice to speak again, maybe next time i will just remain spectator for the weekend and catch up on the
socialising side of things.

Was good to see the old girl finally on song before it decided it didn't want to take any more part in the weekends events.
I would Also like to thank Marty VDU.88A for taking jess out for a few laps.
It put her in a good mood and now it Looks like i am allowed to look for a car to build as a race car. WOOOT

yeah well, i never really questioned it before..............shop policy is strictly NO reinventing the wheel !!!..............so things that have
always run fine don't get touched, however bits getting fried sometimes need replacing
i just came to thinking that efi does not require rising rate, but having always been there, perhaps the haltech is tuned to accomodate this
also............big kettle of fish to open there

It is a great pic, but I can not take credit for it.
Aaron sent it to me after scanning the original.
Someone nice left the photo under his wiper blade on the Sunday.
If anyone has the original Digital, it may be of better quality to post here.

no marbles from me buddy. apart from burning the clutch so much it turned into a wok kind of shape I dont think I have done anything bad to the car.
well I did play a part in putting those ugly flares on it. Oh and I did happen to reverse it into a concrete block and squash the exhaust. But apart
from that... well I have never torched a car even if its expected from somone from warilla.
Just a guess, I think the injectors would be most efficient at mid range to maximum, but probably dont give the best spray pattern if only open a very
short time. If the thing is getting enough fuel at max boost without maxing out the injectors and its also not at minimum duty off boost then I dont
think you need the rising rate.
Is it running crazy pressure at the moment to deliver the flow? If you go farting around with fuel pressure you are going to need more dyno time.

yeah, I had my 'trigger finger' on my harness release for about 3/4 of the lap... Just in case! Jeff and I could both smell juice. And juice might
mean fire...
When I saw flames below my passenger window after the car went BOOMBBM in the pits, I got outta there ASAP! I looked back once to kick my door closed
as Jeff wasn't yet out of the car and I didn't want flame/fuel getting in. Scary stuff!

all fair enough there Glenn..............did you enjoy first gear
went and inspected the damage today...........there is none!, well except the paint.
incredibly it's all in good shape, so much so, i wish we had of replaced the broken line and headed back out!
most of the black crap scrubbed off the gay green paint, the perspex windows remain unscathed, plastic timing belt covers, water bottles, intercooler
thermo, electrical connectors all fine, miriad of hoses- untouched, hell, even the soft tissue of the aircleaner has survived! i can't believe it!
worst damage was the insulation tape (as humble as the stuff is), has self sacrificed to save the wiring to the plugs and injectors on 3/4 side of the
motor..............stripping the tape back revealed no damage to the electrical wires underneath
