Thanks Aldo I quite like the stock look my self. Might put the BRM`s on my 56 and leave the stocks on this car. What about this look?

I vote for the BRM's, dude. They're such a good looking wheel. If they're 5.5's you should put some lo-pro 185's on with thin white bands. But thats just what gets me going:D. Still, I think you'll tire of the stock rims after awhile and the BRM's will prove too much of a temptation.
Awesome car, it's coming up beautifully :thumb

Well Ive been driving the car for 1 week to and from work with the narrow beam and I have to say it drives shit hot!
I fitted all king and link pins tie rod ends and a steering box.
It tracks just like a stock front end.
Only thing is the railway lines near home seem a lot rougher.;)

Well its time to get off my chair and lower the rear end.
Now I`ve done it before but a long time ago but its like riding a bike.:D
But I had a chart here somewhere on how to set it but is lost.
It listed how many inners and outers etc and the amount it lowered the car.
Has anyone got a chart or info on this as I only want to do it once and get it right the first time.

Also I`ve started on the new motor for this baby.
Will post pictures and info soon.:thumb

Well thought i`d better lower the car in the rear for the Jamboree so this is one Saturday nights effort.
Would have loved to go lower but at this height I just get out the driveway as its a bit steep at the end.

Mate I love your bus!
Its cool!
Have always loved to have a twin cab.
We have met before, I think I said hello to you?
Did you have a TV or something in a trolly?
Have seen your ride in Seaford.
Have to catch up.

Started making a narrow beam for my other oval and also a beam for a friend.
The beam for a friend is for show and will run no shockers but the one I`m building will.
Heres a picture of the ends of one done in the usa.
Not much to my liking.

I thought the ends just don`t look right.
Don`t get me wrong! its works fine and does the job but I`m more for make it look how Volkswagen would have made it look.
This beam is a 41/2" narrowed beam but as you can see the ends I have made are trying to stick with the standard look.

Started painting my spatts to go on my rat.
Was going to put them on my oval rag but thought they would look good on my daily ride.
So hit them with a bit of grey paint tonight.
Not the best picture but you`ll get the idea.

NAth, you could narrow yours 5.5 inches and have the shock towers on the inside of the body.....O and to answer your question a little of why I went later pan, Ball joint beam narrowed 4.5 inches and retained shock towers....

New bits are the big logo caps and a the roof rack.
This cars about finished as its what I just drive to work etc and will start work on my oval rag project in the next few weeks.
But first I`d better clean up the shed a bit!
