So... Ive run into a few problems... Whoever worked on my white notch last managed to round off three of my driveshaft bolts on the passenger side...
and im not sure if they have done the same on the drivers side... So im working on a way to get them out at the moment.
Next on the list of hurdles... the bolts on the driveshafts of the square are the star style... not the typical hex head allen key style... So i need
to source some star style bits to get them undone... This is turning out to be a lot more trouble than anticipated... I expected a few hurdles... but
not multiple allready screwed bolts and shit.... So the goal of today has changed... i want the engine out of the notch.... Time for some lunch (I
slept in again....) some FUIC and then back to it!

I can't exactly recall as it's been a while since I have been under mine (Redbacks have infested the area) But aren't the heads protruding? If so
you could use a set of good quality locking pliers to at least get the bolt cracked.
And they shall beat their swords into plowshares, for if you hit a man with a ploughshare, he'll know he's been hit

Thats going to be the plan, need to find myself some GOOD vicegrips, and give that a go, if that fails, ill drop into a mates workshop, he mentioned
he might have some nifty tool for just this occasion... Hopefully it doesnt come to that... cos that means i need to take Wild Turkey up there... and
then i have to drink some... and then i need someone to come pick me up... and then i wont get anything done!

So... the Vice Grips idea was a failure... They just slide around on the head of the bolt and dont crack it.... Anyone got any more ideas?

On a side note... I think while the engine is out, i might throw a different exhaust on it... Anyone know where i can get some extractors for it in
Adelaide at a reasonable price? Reasonably quickly too?

Update time....
With an extra set of hands from a fellow VeeDub nut (Thanks Lee.... Borwny is just useless!) the engine is back in... A few minor things to do now to
get it running... Connecting all the fuel lines, im also moving the fuel filter from the engine bay... Thinking ill put it down by the box or
something, havnt decided yet....
Connect the throttle, the clutch, and make sure ive got it wired up properly, and i should be good to go! (I Hope...)
Tomorrow afternoon i should have some photos of it back on the road! God i cant wait to cruise it!
I have also ordered a bunch of new parts for it... cant wait for those now either!

You may have noticed as well, that all my photos are gone... this is due to changing websites and hosting... Ill work on getting them back up, but

It Lives!!!
Finally its back on the road, drove it over the weekend, a few things to fix but its back!
Had to wait till it was cool enough, and my drill had enough balls to pull the tech screws out so I Could pull the door trim off and put the window
back in its cradle thing so it could be put up and the car washed!
The afternoon, well, night, resulted in this....
Very Dirty... well... probably not... but as dirty as any of my cars will ever get! It took months of sitting in a carport on axle stands to get to
this!
All lathered up and wet
Clean!
So i ducked around the corner, put it on the footpath, and took some shots!
Moved it off the road into a carpark thingy there, and when leaving left my mark
Yes, im a Photo Whore... Yes... I like Posting them EVERYWHERE I can on the net... and yes... i love the sound of my car scraping!
I almost had a heart attack last night on the way home from work driving through some roadworks.... There was a manhole cover, that in the process of
the road being redone had had the tarmac around it taken away, so it was raised above the level of the road, i had no where to go with a car next to
me, and an island on the other side, I clenched, closed my eyes, and I waited for the horrendous sound of my sump or something being ripped off....
thank god it never happened! Might be time to go lower!
