Ha! That reminds me of when I had a beetle in England and I'd shaved the door handles. I was worried that the solenoid and/or leaf switch wouldn't work as it was so cold but what happened was they worked perfectly but because of the lack of door handles I couldn't pull the door open as it was frozen shut. A screwdriver and chipped paint was the result and when the lights were on the whole of the front of the car glowed:D

Yep, back when that happened it was probably just anotehr old VW, plenty more where that came from.....
not many other cars could keep driving down the road like that.
