yeah good one CT

Is THAT another excuse TT

Yawn........go back to rebuilding youre motor Dave:lol::lol:

So anyone have a proper answer to my question ?

Since scrutineering finishes before 1.30pm,
you may want to try and make an arrangement with Craig Hughes,
or get someone to put your car through for you before you get there.
Only Craig H or the track officials could confirm this.

Dave, that class is for "Super Sedan" and is for normally aspirated cars, no boost nor n2o.
Michael Nash is the only Australian car that has been faster than this,
and he was not able to "back up" the record within the 1% required.
It can only be set at national level events, like Nitro Champs, Nationals and Winternationals,
and when that actual 'eliminator',(Super Sedan) is run.

Good to see Mick Motors as Major Sponsor again this year.
It will be great to see what old DUSTY can do on the 1/4 mile.
Who else is racing?
I know that from Queensland
myself,
Rod Richardson,
Aaron Roberts
perhaps Davo 'buggy' Richardson?
Frosty and his 13 sec 1776cc
Wally's turbo bug
Who else?

I'm in and really looking forward to catching up with everyone again! I've dusted off the old 2276 motor, should be interesting to see what this pulls over the quarter in SHRAPNEL. The 2386 has only been a tenth or so quicker over the 1/8th running 11.4 at Heathcote over the quarter.

Humpty, man you've got a good memory, I bought those heads over 15 years ago and had all sorts of trouble lugging them half way aroung the world on a backpacker trip. In an x-ray machine I'm sure those valve springs must look like some kind of timing device!!

Since then Dave Butler and Craig Brown have seen these heads on a coule of occasions as the engine saw more and more development. Very efficient heads in terms of broad power delivery. The Comp Eliminators while flowing a stack more, haven't resulted in the track gains we expected. So some 1/4 mile time at Sydney will be an interesting experiment.

Helmet rules ? On vwma web site , Snell m2000 is fine .
But
on ANDRA web site it's NOT . Starts off at Snell m2005
Graig's list might be wrong , as August 2011 the rule changed at ANDRA .
Has anyone double checked ? Rod has Snell m2000 , he may need new helmet .
CHECK your HELMETS everyone !I think all 2000 helmets are OUT .( m , sa , ect )

Well was planing to just crew for Ben but it looks like I'm getting the little brown bug out for a few laps. Rod gave me a push this arvo.
If any one is unsure get in and support this event cause it would be terrible if it didnt make it back next year due to lack of entrants.
See you at the track.

spead the word.

I know they dont allow you to race on a Wednesday night with the AS1698, it has to be the AS/NZ one..................but if you look at the ANDRA rules they say the AS is allowed until 2013, so its anyones guess !!!

Yes Pete, it was your post that prompted me to double check. As in Humpty's post above, the ANDRA site says

"NOTE: From August 2013 only AS/NZS1698:2006 helmets will be acceptable. AS1698 and BS6658 will not be allowed in competition after this date regardless of date of manufacture."

So it looks to me like the AS1698 is ok.

I was hoping Craig was going to confirm this.
