I made the barrels .025" longer to (later) fit my new crank and rod combo.
This dropped the compression down to 12.8 from the previous 14:1.
Even with the lower comp, it still made over 250hp at the wheels, at 8000rpm.
Unfortunately the added weight of the barrels and intake may slow it down a bit,
but 'leak-down' after the dyno and Jamboree, is less than 2.5% on all cylinders.

Jamboree was fun as usual, with Volksies competing again in numbers not seen since the mid nineties!
My car was quite slow, which at the time had me a bit puzzled,
but I tinkered away with it and made improvements most runs.
The weight with driver is now 1840.4lbs...about 835kg.
Runs were:
First run left the line crooked and had to lift for a moment:
11.471 at 117.74 slow lean
11.268 at 118.84 better but still slow.
11.202 at 120.88 bit better after more richening.
11.248 at 121.18 better mph up high with mixture adjustment(that's about 8000rpm)
11.256 at 119.86 dropped a bit more speed after further richening the 'high speed'.
Was leaving the line at 8400rpm, and the rpm logs show the clutch and tyres pulling the rpm WAY down,
which is another sign of lean mixture.
Sixy's were slower than normal but representative of the lower power and higher mass.

Reaction were all cherrys except a lucky .001 in the first round.

Doing an 1/8 mile trans again for Warwick this year.
4.857 diff with 1.333 ratio 4th gear.
100mph is 8370rpm.
Best previous speed at the high altitude was 99.78mph,
but carrying a little more weight (55lbs!) this year.
