A work of art!
How much hp/torque are you hoping to gain from the new crank?

Next step is to make a special tool to machine out where the rod journals will be.
It will replace the conventional tool post on the lathe.

Hi Myles, hope to gain enough to keep HP/cc the same as current engine,
so over 300hp at the flywheel would be nice.
Best before was 259 at the wheels,
so perhaps 275 to 280 at the wheels
is what I am calculating, for the fuel system changes required.

Main journals are all done to width and 0.5mm from finished size.
They have a 4mm radius.

Next step is back in the offsetting jig, to machine the sides and perimeters of all the webs and counterweights.

One web will be left with a flat for indexing the oil holes, but all the others will be sort of like this:

Nice work Dave, artwork
what metal / alloy have you used on the
injection bodies
Barrels
Crank
Are you going to do any treatment on the crank when you finish the machining.
I might of missed it but what stroke and bearing sizes are on the crank

You forgot to ask what Dave mixes with WD40, for cutting fluid.

6061 for the throttle bodies,
2P cast iron for the barrels,
EN26 for the crank,
and Rene' from Heat Treatment Services in Adelaide
has offered to do a stress relieve and nitride on the crank
before its final grind to sizes.
Main journals are 2.750" and rod journals will be 2.100".
I mix a synthetic gear oil or cutting fluid with WD40 depending on the material.
