Now to make it fit inside the case,
and then off for a final balance.

I want to use these rods, so it only needs another mm or so and it can go together.

Cam lobes were an issue too, but not any more ;)

Case was purchased in 1996 and is a Pauter.
Later ones do have improvements, but probably not as far as clearing large strokes is concerned.

Dyno went well, but broke an adjuster before the final tune. 265 at the wheels at 7400rpm, so far.
Picked up between 30 and 40hp at the wheels between 4000 and 7000.

Everything checks out cool,
so just upgrading the adjusters, ;)
and the fuel and breather lines will be upgraded to -12.

Before the adjuster broke,
I had trouble trying to adjust the high speed mixture, so have upgraded to a Kinsler K140 lean out.

The lower 4 runs were from older tests, and the top 3 were the best runs THIS time, each trying different fuel and timing setups.

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/dangerous_05/Scan%20Dyno%203003cc%20280.2%20HP_zps3txwvhfs.jpg

This graph shows the torque numbers as well.
We used these 'theoretical' torque figures to play with different timing curves.
With 16.44 compression, this combination needs NOT more than 20 degrees at full noise.(settled on 19).

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/dangerous_05/Scan%20Dyno%203003cc%20Torque%20with%20timing%20and%20HP%20up%20to%20277.4HP_zpssujuu0k6.jp
g

This last graph shows a comparison with one of the good runs this time,(277.4),
with one from last month with unfinished final tune (it broke a rocker-adjuster that day, 263.7),
one of the runs from before Warwick '14. This with the smaller engine, but had lower compression but the new throttles(249.4),
and the 259hp is the previous best of the small engine with high comp but smaller throttles back in 2012.

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/dangerous_05/Scan%20Dyno%203003cc%20comparisons%20to%20previous%20bests%20and%20also%202717cc_zps2qicpsc

Looks like that new runner length has moved your harmonic up to the where you wanted it (just a guess).

Lovely numbers. :starhit:

Yes, these programs have paid for themselves again and again.

It lost a bit at 5000 comparing the February test,
but still has 20 more at 5000, from when last raced,
and by 5500 its really on song!

By the time it gets to 7000, the gain was about 45hp!

Can't wait to try it at the track!
