Thanks

It's vinyl. Door panels will be 2-toned (above and below the chrome strip) to split the grey up a bit.

Thanks Matt,

Did ya notice all the extra sound deadener / insulation. That droning / drumming sound used to be annoying.

Inside the cabin area isjust normal padded under-felt foam stuff.

The engine bay will get insulated with thermal insulation as well.

There was an article in a recent VW TRends mag concerning the insulation of a bug. They used stuff called "DYNAMAX" (something like that anyways). I showed the article to my trimmer and he said he can get stuff that does the same thing - a heat shield, foil-backed insulation for the engine bay.

Doing yours youself Barls?

Is there an advantage to having your solernoid/module in next to battery, as opposed to onto of generator or on fan shroud where they are usually found?

The intereor looks very nice too. The 2 tone looks great especially with the chrome moulding. ;)

I don't know why the auto electrician put the voltage regulator there. I read an article in VW Trends on converting a generator to an alternator and I thought that was the spot for the regulator.

The pedal assembly is off the old '56 floor pan, they have a wheel on the go-pedal.
