Awesome shit guys.Re the reverse taper in exhausts that i see at work and i see lots they tend to be used to help overcome to big of an extractor
system 2 help get the torque back you would be surprised to see the size of say a V8 supercar exhaust or some of the biante muscle car exhausts and
some of the cosworth 4 cyl exhausts if they are 4 into 1 they are Small but very complex. If they are a tri y design the pipes tend to be a little
bigger.

Here is the pic of the chart. The run that resulted in more HP was after I had left.

Long time since a update here , Well
Rod ran car Warwick last year with 2276 motor , then 1/8 mile event at Willowbank this year . Running 7.90s all day with a motor not on sweet side (
still looking)
but still winning 2 races and braking out on another . Was a fun night with 33 cars in our bracket.
The gear box has been noisy so box out for a freshen up ( down to Dangerous Dave's) and car will a few other changes to.
We are putting big motor back in (2387) with some suspension upgrades to , new torsion bars , new QA1 rear shocks , Rhino gear box case , new oil
cooler with fan .
Rod is planing on running the next 1/8 mile series event at Warwick 14th May .
Post pics soon .

The Oerlikon is the machine that VW used to make special ring and pinions for Things and some type 3s, (when the Klingelnbergs were running low).
It is by far the strongests 4.125 available from VW.
In 20 years worth of transmissions this is only the third i have seen.
The old crown wheel and pinion was very burred up from coming out of mesh, but no huge cracks.
All that fine metal and black oil was from the surface of the teeth on the crown wheel and pinion.
All other geats looked great!
Pick it up tomorrow?
Must sleep now....

ha ha!
could be!
The new aluminium Rhinos are pretty good,
but the jury is still out as to whether they are better than the older magnesium ones.
I still have a couple if we decide lighter is better!

Hey Stock ,
I thought when I ticked the Westi box on the rebuild form that it would come back pink .
What a disappointment when I saw it.

WoW ! opened up dragster mag , which had Willowbank 1/8 mile event coverage in , there it is , a huge pic of Rod taking off
from start line . Best part is they even used the blue colour (same as car) in there title words to the story .
Biggest volky pic I've ever seen in a Australian drag racing mag , check out his eyes !
Good one Ron Richardson !!!
