keep the photos coming.

Funnily enough I forgot your advice on leaving plenty of extra time for the Ocean Road drive, I stopped at the natural bridge and a couple of smaller
towns like you recommended, then realised how far away from the airport I still was, and how many caravans I got stuck behind....so totally missed the
apostles and had to wave at the Bells Beach turnoff. Subsequently was one of those people who are so late for their flight that the PA announcer is
calling your name as you are running through the terminal But yep, took
a week off and got back to Perth last night. Great to meet you and your Dad too!

Great photos,
I just pulled the engine out of my car to inspect the damage, and wow what a mess, I thought the flywheel had just came loose, but when I pulled the
flywheel off, the end of the crank came with it!!
The crank I was using was an old Scat crank I picked up cheap, looked good, nice finish etc etc, I was told it was a forged one, but after seing the
crank where it broke away, it is definatly a cast crank, it sure has copped a beating, lucky it lasted as long as it did.

Awesome photos!
Yep that is cast!
That IS surprising it lasted so long!
Scat sell a very affordable 78.8mm forged crank that is nitrided.
A lot of the cheaper ones do not include this process.
Yes that is the stroke.
Weird hey?!
Time to go 82 I think.

It sure is amazing it lasted so long, this has been in since before the 1st Warwick meet, can't complain, brobably has around 50 drag race starts on
it, and saw 7500 to 8000 RPM regularly.
Not sure what I will do now, was thinking of running a 2.1 WBX crank with a bolt on flywheel, I know they are not counterweighted but they seem to
last for ever in a T3 and don't flog the case like the T1 cranks do.
Would be a cheap alternative as I have a few of them around, although the big stroke Chinese cranks are not that expensive anymore, but that would
mean new rods, barrells, and maybe an Alloy case, it all adds up!!

Bolt on flywheel sounds the go, some 8 dowel setups not as tight as necessary for drag launch.

glad to hear that you made the flight. Ocean road is well worth the drive, even if you are in a hurry and a hire car.

Awesome photos btw. Great job. I especially like the one of the Aussie Inch Pincher. I have seen photos of that car, but it was great to see it in the
flesh. The photos only tell half the story. That paint work is just awesome
