Thanks Ian, I just checked your link and IMO it remains ambiguous, The ANDRA link I posted a quote from as above, says it's ok to use a AS 1698 untill 2013 yet Ian's link says it must have a sticker like in the examples at the bottom.....my AS 1698 sticker is Silver, not like any of the examples.

I hope Craig can clear this up.

The best people to ask about helmet requirements are the staff at Sydney Dragway. They are the people that will be scrutineering cars and helmets.

So on the top right hand side, you will see:
"note: all vehicles slower than 10.99 " etc

So unless you are faster than 10.99, you can use:
AS/NZS: 1968:2006
All helmets should have a date of manufacure on them some where.
If yours is manufactured on or after 2006, and has an AS1968 standard, you are good to go.

...and until 2013, you can still use Snell as old as M2005 as quick as 9.00 seconds
or SA2005 for any speed.

Naturally any of the newer M2005 or SA2005 snell helmets are fine up to 9.00 seconds..
M are good to 9.00 and SA 2005 or newer as fast as you want.

HA , HA , vw54 & Westi , My Boys in the Hood From Dak-A-Tak shed are coming down to race for me ( Tom , Rod )

Is there a real entry list yet ? from Craig H, I think it helps for people to see who is coming .Not everyone get on here .

Are all the big names from Sydney racing ? Trent , Mike K , Freestone , P Keagan , Rod Penrose ,others .
How many cars from other Sydney vw business are supporting this event ?
How many vws from Vintage Vee Dub Supplies are racing ?
How many water cooled cars are entered ?

Hi

I guess Craig would be pretty busy at the moment so maybe someone else can answer a question.

The BYO drinks and food after racing, do we have to leave the track after racing and buy alcohol or can we keep it in our Esky in the pits until after racing?

I'm not planning on having a bender but few brews after a long day would go down well.

Sorry Steve - bit swamped. I did get your message. Alcohol may be kept at the track, but not to be opened or consumed until after the final race of the day.

do all new helmets bought from respectable shops automatically have the m2005, as1968 or better approval stickers/stampings.
