BLUE LIGHT DISCO
lotsa wiring and fiddly interior work the last week or so, finally got my gauges in and the wiring for the air con. Made my own gauge holder because
I'm anal and wanted a specific shape and size and location. So Cal ignition switch and push starter fitted....
Parts of the engine are finally arriving by boxes and heavy freight costs
Do the heads look familiar Mr Berry?... case arrives next week hopefully and SCAT order arrives tomorrow I think.
really splashing the cash..........
I have to order an exhaust and booster off you Mr Berry , will call you next week for costs......

so stoked on the spotted gum tray, a lot of work but well worth it.....the VW emblem has to go off and get chromed now and the timber tray will have
a chrome trim wrapped around it to finish off the edges.

or get DB to machine both of them, that way you can get rid of the step in the head that should be gone anyway IMO.

I have a tech question..... after building up the long block (rotates nice and smooth, no bad noises) I went to assemble the rockers and push rods. I
am using standard rockers (Scat swivel feet) a C35 cam and standard lifters (all Scat), when I install my rods (Scat CroMo 11.50) then try to nip them
up to the heads there is about a 12mm gap between the rocker and the seat of the cylinder head. I have made sure all the lifters are pushed inwards
and rotated the engine on all TDC cylinders and they still don't fit.
I will say that I bought the full Scat engine kit , so I figured everything in the kit would be compatible but it seems the rods are too long for the
rocker and cam assembly. Shouldn't it be standard length push rods ?.
thanks in advance ......... Binner
