If you head down towards Warrnambool after jan 1st, let me know, because i will be back in aus, and I live down in geelong. so assuming you're coming
down from melbourne, it'd be nice to have a break and a cuppa along the way. feel free to do that..i want to also be more active in the vw club next

Just visited Bel...took some pics and about to post them before I take off.....
I wish it was sunny ......
pyro I was considering Boris Day Picnic....flying up.....but last minute too expensive...you have the NFL final on or something...and accomm more
expensive and heavily booked than normal....the place I like's in Coogee is fully booked.... Have 2 work Monday so driving up is out.....but did
consider it...Warmer weather would have been nice
As for holiday....I want to get my divers license somewhere warm and chilled....Fiji maybe...Thailand...possible....I'm tending Fiji.....get into a
whole different time frame...love island time so much....just so long as I don't let my tank empty under water cos I lost track of d time!!

Gongrats on making the big thou, and Jodie loves Beetles as they came standard from the factory. She just likes to put all those dodgy fairy stickers,
and associated rubbish all over them. Not my taste, but it's her car, so ill have to live with it.
Did an overnight bike run to Gympie swap, stayed at a free camp last night, so I could be there early. Might as well have stayed at home, absolutely
buggar all VW stuff, can't understand it, there's heaps of old VW's up around that way. bombed out big time, suffice to say Ill not be making the
journey next year.

if i had of know earlier jenz that you wanted to come up for the boris picknick my family would of put you up for a couple of nights, and you could of
rolled to the swap meet with the campbelltown vw crew

Just back from the Jamboree:cry....only to vw's out of the whole field
No Penrose or the twin super of CBB. Still the guys who ran did us proud.
Hours of mind numbing rotaries.
I decided to put up or shut up, going to put the hotty engine together and run it next year in the beetle MARK MY WORDS. Turbo or not.

At Phillip Island...d whales not being sighted at Warrnambool and their not sure if they have left or not....so saw d Penguins instead...they are the
cutest things......Staying at d YHA hostel Amaroo Park...it's great and has a cosy bar....Just had breaky...everyone is starting to hit d road...lots
of overseas visitors get here
Well think I'll get into the Dr and start driving as well....he loved the run down here...long trips are good 4 him

And the other is my now nice clean bench ready to start putting my engine together.
I know Sue's cool with it cause she said quote "how much is this going to cost me"......so taht to me if you read between the lines is a YES.
So here is apic of my engine case and all the bits.
Notice the lightened flywheel, 8 dowelled crank, balanced rods and pistons, ported heads, full flow oil filter and cooler and case fitted with case
savers.

what size is it kafer? what's this going into? are you doing it all yourself? why do you need to change the engine etc...
i've got the original 194 1500 at home..(it's under one of the benches in our garage..wasn't going fast enough for dad..that's why an 1800 and
disc-brakes had to go on it as well!)

I did have someone there looking for one thing...but they were not there....rear kick panels for an old beetle without d holes.... They seem very hard
to find...I can get them new so will do that...

Got me a hard 2 get switch for my reversing light today from bugboy...it screws onto d back of d speedo and if you go into reverse it triggers the
reverse light..not attached to d gear box Bel's too old 4 that .... Did I say somewhere that Bel should be going to d trimmers this week......I'm
so hoping she does...they are going to trailor her there.... Wah...my baby!!! Sorta nervous 4 her.....
