Zeek is doing fine. Matt has him today so I am house bound at the moment. He has fitted in nicely as our 'family' car. Took him for a cruise to
Bundeena on Saturday and then out on Sunday for fathers day.
I've lined up some new panels for him which when replaced will take out most of the rust.... a little bit more work and a new coat of paint and you
won't recognise him!! |

festy is behaving himself at the moment barls, I just have to get the brakes attended to in the next couple of weeks... there is definately something
awry.... and i need to replace the cables. Just little things amiss, but I am happy now i know the carbi runs rich,, I have stopped fiddling with the
mix and accepted it and he seems ok. I just want the fixing to stop for a while so i can just hop in and drive! just be like normal peeps for a while....:duh not have to beg the vw gods for a safe uneventful journey each
day!lol |

Got a glove box lid in the mail toady from Beerdoc !!!!! Looks great ....... I had to go home at around 10.00 this morning to put it in the car my
wife could not understand my excitement. But now the remote for garage door won't be on the floor all the time ! |

I am now going to concentrate on the seats and hood lining. Put in retractable seat belts. Get him put on the "rack" so the drivers wheel won't rub
and thats about all he needs to be perfect !
I did notice some rust on the pillar that the door is hinged onto so that will mean a little stay at the Panel shop. |

Yep! Checked out that one I listed on "For Sales". The lady sounded great on the phone _ "yeah, hardly any rust" "been in our family since new"

yahoo have sunday off for action day.
I had today off and worked all day on my project, pulling apart the old pan/body getting all useful stuff off ditching rusty old pan and keeping some
stuff I will sell on. Definatelly making progress. Got dirty, and am real buggered now, looking forward to some zzzzzzzzz. How is everyone?????

Speaking about rats, there's one fewer in our house today. An no, we didn't sell any old cars.
EDIT: oh yeah, the house in front of where I live almost burnt down overnight. Left oil on the stove. Managed to get it out before the kitchen
caught too, but I do remember seeing huge flames leaping out of the kitchen window! Two big fire trucks came along and all! Luckily no-one was hurt,
though it sure stank - I'd say they're gonna need new curtains and carpets.
