barrels landed today so there is still fire in the hole.
last piece to the puzzel.
now i just gota work out were the other 999 pieces are.lol
lost the hole week to customers cars this week,not looking forward to the sleepless night next week.

not realy dave,the big push starts tommorrow.
had customer cars to do last week.
i had lost a week due to no rod bearings available.needed +.001's.finally got some but now,but i need to turn them down to fit.lucky me.
so it's been slow.finally got my trigger wheel for the crank as well,so need to machine that to fit and make a bracket for that as well.
then its just battery mount ,wire and install,fingers crossed.
fitted all the unabtainium bolts today.wow what a difference in weight.
haven't got everthing as lightweight as i wanted,but close enough for now.
we have a big week ahead,but it should be ok.

For narrowing rod bearings,
I turn up a slug to about 2.004" diameter
with a shoulder.
Length about 2mm less than the width you need.
You leave it set in the lathe and hose clamp the shells tight
to turn them carefully.
Being a little less in width
gives you room to chamfer the edge to clear the radii of the crank.
I do mine at about 30 degrees.

i used a 2.000 and wrapped it with tape,but yeh same idea.

i used a +.001 shell and a standard shell to get the clearance i needed.
