Pulled the RH head and found different numbers cast in it compared to the LH head, don't know if it makes much difference, same size valves and all.
More concerned about the fact that the LH head had the shoulder where the barrel butts up machined off and the RH still has the shoulder, maybe
that's why it kept pulling to the right

Nah man - other stuff had to do this morning unfortunately.
And the weather didn't hold so didn't get any colour on the doors either.
Instead replaced the door speakers in gf's New Beetle, and since they're not designed to be replaced meant had to modify/fab up some mounts which
meant a simple job took way longer than it should have.
Why do modern Volkswagen's need to have everything sooooo different compared to "normal" cars ???

Renewed the brake hose between the reservoir and metal line. Not good when you see a puddle at the front of the car. Didn't have to bleed the brakes
luckily.
Also changed the horn. The old one was intermittent in operation.

Ross from Skinned Knuckles fixed me a gate from VW parts hahaha
The gate is working for the first time in 5 years, the beam is now in the car, the torsion leaves are in and the trailing arms are ready to rumble. Im
guessing tomorrow night we should be ready to install everything and hopefully shorten the tierods and im "Rollin rollin rollin".

Now I know who to call when I couldn't be bothered doing it myself
Today I installed a set of 44 Webers, but now have constant backfiring from the exhaust! It's too dark to be chasing an intake leak, blocked idle
jet, or other issue so ill leave it for tomorrow.
