Relive the memories of Portland vw drag event. Freezing weather, fine volkswagens, friendly people, fast vw drag action.

A few laughs at the presentation, at the end of the day too.
Cant wait for this event next year.

"Yes, VW Portland has been confirmed for the weekend of February 21st-22nd 2009. Although I'm concentrating on VW Warwick in October this year
first, here are some early details about the Portland event.
As the Portland City Council has now restricted the drag club to only six weekend race meets per calendar year, VW Portland has had some exciting
changes to the programme:
• Friday night street drags - under lights, VWs will be able to compete against each other and the local Portland drag racers
• Saturday - following the street parade in the morning, the afternoon programme consists of VW practice and qualifying, as well as the chance to
earn some early weekend dollars by competing in an open meet with other drag cars from Victoria
• Sunday - all Volkswagen racing, with an additional 2 hours practice in the morning, followed by a 4 round Round Robin Comp. Prize money and
trophies on offer"
