Anyone planning on getting to Goulburn on Friday night?

Thinking about going down then so not such an early morning. At least the drivers get to sit for a while and don't have to hold a couple of kilos at their face...

Engine???????????

Hi Daimo,

I've entered the sprint. The engine isn't exactly progressing quickly. I keep getting distracted.

All I did on the weekend was add the oil pump and pistons and barrels. I'm still not sure which rockers I'll go with. I'm likely to run the engine in with 1.1s and then switch to 1.4s.

Either way it's all last minute. I can hear the mission impossible music.

gates open at 6:30am if wakefield do the right thing.

The weather forecast at the moment is predicting a balmy 10 - 16 degree range for saturday with chance of showers. I wont jinx us by saying it wont/cant rain, but if the current clouds clear, it wont be that warm. Average overnight low for the month so far is 3.5.

If you're heading down, make sure you have a decent jacket for the morning period.

yes CT, thats not a good thing...........but don't feel bad, i spent the day colour sanding the paint that got wet due to a wild overnight storm and a leak in the roof that never EVER happened before.......... instead of re-asembly DOH!

need to put the windows back in, bumpers back on, clean the thing inside, remove passenger seat so i can pack it to the brim with tyres (wets ) and spares and then get it on the trailer..........and still some:starhit:

baaah, its goulburn. doesnt rain there. Sometimes snows, temperature gets below freezing regularly in winter, frequently above 40 in summer but no rain. they were in danger of drinking dust just a short time ago.

Goulburn has had a lot more rain over the past few years than usual.

Current dam levels are here:

http://goulburn.local-e.nsw.gov.au/files/9626/File/4May09-10May09.pdf

Two years ago the main dam (Pejar) was down to 2%. Some photos are attached. On one you can see the spillway over on the left and the tower way in the distance.

I can also tell you that the water that was there stank:(
