Wheels, Tyres and Suspension

What do you think guys? Brand new wheels and tyres. has about 2 degrees negative camber all round.

Loving the new look and feel of the car, having a few engine complications im trying to sort out (no spark) and have to do a toe in wheel alignment on the front but still got 20 more days till i get my P's so will have it all done by then.

Bizzarre - Yeah i have been tossing up weather to get dark window tint but not sure what to do as of yet.

Jeff - I am happy with the height and am happy at what we archived. The muffler doesnt have much clearance now and i can tell it has settles more already even just from moving it. I Plan on getting a high mount muffler because i don't like the sound or clearance of the "quiet pack" muffler thats on there at the moment.

Thanks Steve,

I Think i'll just go in my nans holden astra or one of our subarus. The Beetle doesnt have a mirror on the passenger door and i have been told you need one to pass because of extra checks and what they require, also being in a ruff, bumpy loud car they might not like that too much.

Also the engine isn't going at the moment because of a points and condenser issue, the only parts on the engine that weren't brand new were the dissy and the coil. Brand new ones are on there way.

I had offered to run the safety boat at the Arrow Catamaran State Titles & Tasar travellers trophy at Queens Lake on the Saturday before I realised the hill climb was on, so I am committed to that on Saturday.

The sailing continues in Port on the Sunday, and I had offered to help there as well, but if there is someone else available (there should be), I will be straight up to Cooperabung.

I will give you a ring when I (hopefully) get there.

I'm new to the forum so i'm seeing this car for the first time. Stance and wheels look tuff! Gotta compliment you on not putting that fibreglass bumper on, nothing like German metal on a German car :) Have to agree with Bizarre about the dark tinted windows.

What exhaust you thinking of putting?

Thanks For the Encouragement, I Have put alot of work into this car and even little things to get the wheels and tyres to fit and suspension upgrades/mods and different engines, mucking around for picky ADR Rules for rego the list goes on and on.

I will be doing the windows or i might leave them as is cause down the track a full creme leather interior is gonna go in and it might look sweet being able to see the creme leather as the car goes past people on the foot path or other cars passing?

As for exhaust I'm happy with the stock factory beetle exhaust haha as stupid as it sounds but the car is at a perfect ride height at the moment but the only thing that scrapes on driveways, gutters and speed bumps was the hotdog, the quiet pack and all other mufflers i bolted to the 3 bolt flange extractor system i had on it on the old engine. So i think the biggest upgrade im going to go on my new 1600cc stockish motor is the GT Factory mexico extractors with the 2 angle cut 2" pipes that exit thru stock body cut outs, although i will do a bit of modifying to it. :)

The new engine is in and running sweet!

It doesn't drive too good at the moment tho, suspect of slipping clutch i have been told by the symptoms i told someone in the know.
