I have a type 3 (i think) engine that has been converted to upright, so the dipstick is in a different spot, will the kombi ones work do you know?

does it look like the dipstick is currently sitting in something like this ? http://vwparts.aircooled.net/Type-3-Case-to-Upright-Dipstick-Conversion-Kit-p...
If so it will take just a standard beetle / t1 sender.
Might be able to find one in the garage if you're after one.
