Not that long to go! And when your finished I'm sure you will look back on it and be glad you did it! I have 21 years 6 months to match the last
groundsman at my school, and I think I will make it, I like it there, it's a pretty good job.
Looks like I am finaly going to get to go O/S I'm planning to get over to NZ over the Xmas break. I have a friend that, just retired and he is
spending 12 month's over there tripping around. He is staying in YHA's and they are giving him free acommadation in exchange for a few hours work
each day! It's worked out very well for him! I have also started saving to go to Germany in three years for the next Bad Camberg meeting, It's a
gathering for Vintage only VW"s nothing after 61 is allowed. So things are looking up for me, and I am pretty excited about this expected travel!

hey man. way cool. (i remember going there when i was little...)
awesome place. great skiing, and a few good jet-boats and hovercrafts from memory.
i wouldn't undo my year here...it's an experience that i can say i was dedicated enough to do. (very good for the resume!!)

Its funny
Bob my mate, lived and worked in the UK for 10 years, he worked on a farm in the Cotswolds and really loved it. Then he went down to Cornwall
(spelling) for a while worked there as a chippy, then went over and lived in Greece for a year or so! then stayed in Germany for while as well! I get
so green with envy when he talks about it! How I wish I would have done it when I was young and childless! I just have to put up with little jouneys
for the time being until I retire and then Ill be off for a few years!

The travel plans sound excellent...I'm a bit like you...never did the big living overseas thing like some of my friends did that's how I've
encouraged my kids to do it before settling down...there's plenty of time for settling later...hmmm... but must admit once you've travelled it's
hard to settle for long before you want to take off again...
Wow enjoy NZ with your mate....sounds good...so have you joined the YHA yet? Lots of travellers do find work at the hostels if they want to be in town
for a while...a bit of pocket money comes in handy on the road
Looking forward to seeing pics of Jodies beetle...is it coming along...

Bob worked at a rare breeds farm, they had all these cool animals. Sheep with different coloured wool, shire horses, and goats and all that stuff!
over the summer period, they used to do the tourist thing, you know, take PPL through for a look, hay rides and all that stuff!

Right here.
The notch has been using fuel really bad and been real sluggish couldn't work out why.
Tuned the other weekend so I thought it was something I did
rechecked all the timing pulled the carbs to get to the plugs all good.
Sat back and had a bit of a look and thought the points gap looked a bit wide although I'd set it at 50deg like it's supposed to be.
Set it with feeler guages at .016" reset the timing and it runs sweet again heaps of power.
Checked the dwell again 38deg. I'm guessing my dwell meter is shagged. oh well at least it's fixed now.
Just waiting for my Kads to turn up. Can't wait. Then i'm going to start puttting the new engine to gether.
Just told Sue we're taking the beetle to the drive in
She can't wait.......:duh
