Looks damn well amazing!

Hey how did you do the removeable rear apron? I'm looking into doing that myself. I'm not sure where to cut/drill.

I though that it would be hard to beat your last bug, but it looks like I was wrong :) I can't wait to see it in the flesh.

Thanks for the kind words again folks, took the car into the exhaust shop this morning ( http://www.cesracing.com.au ) to have it made up.

Here is another engine mockup (mainly for exhaust purposes) - will add shroud etc in when I get it back so I can have the breather box made up and attach the braided fuel line to firewall etc etc etc

Rear cooling "tin" is not painted yet because it will have to be trimmed and drilled for breather lines, accelerator cable etc.

Temporary steering wheel in place so they can move it around the shop. Have decided now I will definitely have to narrow the beam and run spacers up front too - turning circle is dangerously small since inner edge of wheels hits lower trailing arm and shock tower. Glad I spent all those hours painting and detailing all those front suspension components!

Dropped into Custom Exhaust Specialists today to check progress. See below for pics. They have mainly been working out how to plumb the whole system up...bolted up the aircooled.net stub pipes, and have just tacked up the #3/4 side.

Ground clearance was a concern and was one of the design note briefs...they have wrapped the headers under the gearbox cradle rather than under the engine block.

I am going with a 4 into 1 arrangement. The #1/2 pipes will be wrapped up over the axle to utilise the area above the gearbox, then back around to meet these pipes.

A long cylinder muffler has been ordered so the stock tailpipe cut outs can be utilised.

Got bored this arvo so rubbed the guards back lightly and laid on a coat of high build primer. Here are the before shots (after panel beating/filling etc).

Thanks mate, click here for easier to follow pics including ones from the very beginning (quite a few were lost when the forum crashed a while back).

Cheers to Brad and manx club for hosting the pics - it is a great album set up. And to the forum of course...it is nice to show people what is involved with a resto of this nature!

Dropped into exhaust shop today - should be all done by tomorrow morning (Saturday). I'll get the car tilt-trayed home to start sorting out all the other bits and pieces before separating the body and pan yet again.

Anyway, here is the first pic of the spaghetti junction:

The #3/4 side is now complete.
