nothing better than seeing another bus come to life again , i really like the roof , its great fun to see every little job get ticked off the list ,
just when does the list end, the mind boggles with how many little jobs there are to do on a resto , days of work that seem like you have done nothing
, in the end though its all the little jobs that make it special.
hopefully one day we can park together, if we ever recover from the massive amount of cash needed to do a bus like this . its a credit to you and
the builder
one question , how many times have you opened and closed the safaris? let me just say it doesnt get any easier you see them you just got to open them

Yeah t2 i'm a little addicted to the safaris,they are just soooooo cool,actually i think i'm just a tad obsessed with the whole bus,shes all i think
about almost all day..............just dreaming of her finally being on the road.Yep i guarentee i'll be cruising up your way maybe next year so our
busses can meet & admire each other...lol!!!!!

mandie, that looks unreal!!!!!!! you've done so well.
my trip down the coast didnt go so weellll. the brakes failed just after geelong, shit myself but managed to get to winchelsea using gears and the
handbrake, not happy considering those brakes were only done about 50 kms ago!!!! i should drive it more. talk to you when i get back from the
states.

This is the first time I've checked out your post why? Well I know what its like building a car from scratch take my oval months and months of
work/money and what seems like little change. I'm at the pre rub down stage of the body work at the moment and I just want to see some color but not
wanting to rush anything at the same time, I keep telling myself that it will be worth it in the long run. Now my car is only a bug so I know how long
a split is going to do properly as I used to own a badly restored 59 semaphore camper, and its a lot of work just to give her a tidy up new coat of
paint never mind bear metaling it inside and out. So with out meaning to ramble on to much I've on purpose not checked this thread (as I'm
inpatient at the best of times )as now I have just read through it enjoying every coment and progress shots knowing that I won't have to wait as long
as the other very encoraging people on the site have to see her rolling down the road with a big smile on your face.
Good on everyone for supporting mandy with advice and better still good on you mandy for sticking to your own gunns and making your dreams happen

Thanx Nick,it really is a dream come true & i've certainly dealt with some negative people over the restoration time but along with the negative
i've had lots of positive comments & people cheering me on as well.So thanx to those that can think outside the square & appreciate something a
little different
When i check through this thread from the beginning she really has come a long way & its hard to believe shes the same bus.Still have little parts &
pieces i'm searching for so you'll see me at the swapmeet next Sunday rummaging through everyones boxes of stuff.:P
However I can see the light at the end of the tunnel & all going well & finances permitting, me & my girl will hopefully make it to Day Of!!

a technical tip Mandy on photos. when you have a photo saved as jpeg!!!!! if u open and close it, even open and close it just to look at it, it loses
quality. so my tip is save the photo as a tiff. file
format and you can never lose. Jpeg is given to the whole world
so you can send in e-mails, on floppies etc.....to keep the file...kilo bytes(kb) mega pixels down to minimum....so in a nut shell, jpeg is a
compression format. Squashed the information even smaller. thus lose size and quality. ekim..
