no its not a 54' . the chassis is a 1967 1300 delux beetle . the body was found to be very rusty when stripped down , so the 56' oval body was used .

the secondary pipes are manufactured and fitted in place . the turbo is then mounted in the position that it will be fitted

all of the turbo plumbing is now completed . I now only have to fit the wastegate . pic shows turbo connected with 3" diameter outlet pipe .

a view of the extensive turbo system plumbing from under the left rear guard . I'm certainly not looking forward to removing it all to have it HPC coated , but that will be after the VW nationals drags .

I thought you couldn't get stuff HPC'd after you've run gas through them as it tend not to stick as well or are you not doiing the inside?

Were are you getting the HPC done, I need to do the tops of my pistons and valves and inside my head chambers? thanks.

Hey Wayne

Cannot believe how quick you're putting this beast together!
One thing though, is the alloy front end! Aren't they a bit "iffy" for street use as far as wheel alignment.(Pot holes etc.)
And finally do they save about 80-100lbs?

ive had used pipes coated before - they blast it first with a very fine abrasive first
we just had some combustion chambers, pistons and valves done in adelaide at maxwell motors in st peters

you can get your pipes HPC coated if they have been previously used , but they must be blasted first . The pipework on my turbo cabrio was done at Competition Coatings in Sydney . If you use him , keep the pressure on him as he tends to promise dates and doesn't keep to them . Does a great job though !!
