Well, i am finally getting stuck into finishing this car, have just recieved most of the rubbers and little bits, interior has been redone by my
mother in law, its a wicked chocolate brown vinyl with brown green cloth inserts under me bum and back, new TMI Headlining is going in soon and glass
to be installed after that, i will be getting new popouts for the rear side windows. A few more things need doing to the pan i want to get a 5 bar
kafer set up from Craig torrens, then start building the 2270 type 4. I want it done before July cause i want to be at Dyno Day this year and see
what power it makes then i can race at Warwick finally.
Damo.

I was fitting the drivers door handle today and discovered that the key hole has seized and won't turn at all, i tried loctite silicon spray but no
luck is this an easy fix or replacement neccessary, if i need to replace are there any good quality new ones or are they all Made in China poo?

Matt, the heads i am using are Raby's LE 200, their a new AMC head with 44 x 36mm valves, new guides, seats, dual valve springs, chromemoly
retainers, 914 2 litre combustion chamber, 12mm plugs, chamber intake and exhaust ports are CNC machined. They flow at 200 CFM at 28"hg. Cam is a
Raby 9500 based on web 163/86b the combo is dyno proven to give 180-200hp and equal torque at the flywheel. I say yee haa. There is a pic of heads a
few pages back.

Here's a pic of the new seats re done, nice and brown, why brown cause if i shit myself from the power this thing will have no one will know.

Joel, Fay does an outstanding job, she did Rackies bug too in green, and you've seen her kombi interior, mine only cost me an engine build out of
existing parts that i had.
As for the poo smell from shitting myself, my farts smell like Vanilla.

Well after paying off some debts and buying a split and paying for that i'm back into the bug, i finished the floorpan and put the body back on today
with the help of my Son, my brother and a few mates, as usual with after market parts ie floorpan halves the bolt holes don't line up with the
threads on the heater channel in the body, oh well got most of them in and have to enlarge afew of the holes in the pan to get the bolts in. So all
thats left now is the wiring, windows in both doors, suspension alignment and build the engine then its off to get engineered for the porsche brakes,
other than that, i've kept it registred the whole time also. I need to find a quality suspension shop in Brisbane anyone got any ideas, i want to
set it up for street and race handling.
Cheers Damo.

I bought a splittie so money is going to that for body work, but never fear its so close its not funny, i'm waiting on a set of 944 adjsutable
springplates, need a new wiring harness and thats about it before i build the engine. Just need an exhaust too, damn type 4's thats the expensive
part. Got my dellorto 45 DRLA's also, got a mallory electric fuel pump and regulator to install with an fittings with return to tank setup. Once
adjustable spring plates are installed its off to get suspension set up carried out, going for JEff Unwins reccomendations that he published. I spose
some new photo;s are required hey.
