Motor work continuing and just cleaning up a few little jobs .

Pete's Clutch
First job was to clearance the clutch rivets 0.5mm where they were hitting the FW bolts.
The clutch disc was straightened so the pads were flat.
Then the FW was surfaced flat, and FW bolt heads clearanced about 0.75mm.
The clutch shoe needed to be turned flat, and then ground.
It was not flat and needed about 0.5mm off to be flat.
Once everything was machined,
the assembly was bolted to the FW,
and finger height observed.
The fingers must be ever so slightly up hill.
I use a ball bearing here on the flat portion of the fingers to show what I mean.
A simple measurement shows these are about 0.5mm safe.
If there was a new disc, and std FW depth,
this clutch would have been over centre and low on clamp pressure.
So that is correct,
These pressure plates are out of tolerance from brand new.
Also made a bronze bush to allow maximum bearing travel.
Where did those "model Hands" go to?!
