Progress last night; 228mm T IV flywheel and Kennedy clutch now fit to type 1 swinger box.......and they said it couldn't be done

Well carbs and linkages, torsion bushes and a few other things all made it today around lunch, I must thank Rod and Ross for doing the post runs in
the nick of...so things have been busy this afternoon and the car is going together relatively well.
Torsions are too low but I couldn't resist, looks cool but nearly on the stops!! I'll go back to the shed now and lift it up a bit, about an inch...

Well still haven't turned the key, but she's ready for a pressure charge of oil and kick er in the guts first thing tomorrow, after putting a new
disc caliper on the trailer, and bleeding them, but after that, I'm gonna start this thing, tune should be close and stick it on a trailer and off to
Warwick.......a little later than planed.

Well Warwick has been run and won.....Thanks to all organisers, participants and spectators. Another cracker
The Hillbilly Racer showed its head but unfortunately not for long. The weak link with a fresh stocko trans was taken care of ie. the diff was
electronically converted to a spool and as Dangerous said...."Cool mate, now the next weakest link will be the axle". Yep you guessed it. Whamo 2nd
pass my right/left foot coordination just doesnt know the meaning of grandma launch at the drag strip, and with a spectacular right turn nearly taking
out the tree, the RH axle said enough.
All happy in our camp though as the new engine has prooved to be a bull tearing bull breaker. The bottom end grunt needs to be expeirenced to be
believed......maybe next year Brenndan

Well this should hold the gears inside a little easier. Just need to squeeze it inbetween the frame horns first.
It's the Renault 4 speed, tough as nails, built by ZF and 930 flanges stock. I helped Mark get this adapted to kombi bell housing a few years ago,
but it's done f'all work, and I have a spare too.
