hey all!! back from warwick! almost didnt make it with issues getting my car transported up there, but once all sorted it was a great weekend all round, very happy with the effort put in by the little bug and the vn ss i bought a few days prior just to tow the frikken thing up there! no issues and no breakages and was an awesome trip. ran a best of 10.058 @ 68mph, given a little more time should have been able to crack 9's, but due to driver error (me:lol:) i just missed out on making the finals. Had some severe axle tramp issues, so next thing on the menu is going to be a custom made kafer bar setup to tie in the rear end. Really happy with how consistent the car was, and with a little more track time maybe i will be too hahaha..... would like to extend a big thanks to the massive amount of ppl offering kind words and compliments, really makes the late hours and blood loss seam worth it. was great to finally put faces to all the names and im pumped to see u all at the next meet. thanks again adam.

here are a few pics from the event and a couple vids to if i can get them loaded up.... cheers

Cool pics Adam, and nice to meet you and see your very cool ride.

What was the road kill?
Did you bring some home for the kitchen?......Helps save some of the housekeeping budget you know, and that means more for the car :).

Also, does anyone know if Matt (hot rod mat) sells his pics at all?? would like to know if he got any of mine and if i could possible purchase.

yeah you need to spend more money to get that axle tramp fixed, as rose was running a 1200 6volt box , old motor , dissy with ignition points and stock suspension and her times were all over you, her best run 10.16:lol::crazy::lol::crazy::lol:

What a great weekend we cant wait until next time.

Mick they said ther will be pictures and video 4sale in the next issue of VWMA.

hey mate, thanks for the comments - yeh, i wanna do plenty more. Most of it will have to wait for gearbox first, but between now and then ill fix up some suspension stuff to get it riding better. I want it to sit as it does now, but without slamming the sump through gears!

i'm not sure why i didnt say hello to you - i wasn't sure which bloke you were at first - will need to catch up properly next time

well, iv decided to get a little more serious now as i have gotten the taste for drag racing and want to build something a little more drag orientated...... next on the menu, iv decided to get a half cage put in, then im building a custom rear end support that ties the forks into the cage, also since iv decided to build a new box and upgrade the motor yet again, i dont think im going to make portland, but hopefully ill be ready for warwick if time and money permits.... alot of my parts will be up for sale soon (even though they are basically brand new) so keep posted for plenty of pics and updates.... thanks for all the kind words, keeps me motivated.... cheers adam

few more pics

hey all, been a while, been busy with customers cars, but the other day i had some time to build and install my traction bar, had to change my exhaust (so my previous one is for sale if anyone wants it) i decided to go a custom set of merged headers by brad at westside and then made my own fatboy as well as modifying my other stinger to suit this setup..... traction bar is made up of two square tubes inserted inside each other and plug welded..... did a few practice launches yesterday and gotta say it makes a big difference, still want to buiild a custom kafer bar setup that ties into a half cage, but thats a few months down the track when i save up some $$$.... anyway, here are some pics of my endeavours.......
