Hey there guys. Sorry I am a bit out of it, I've been travelling recently. Had a shower yesterday, after going bush for a while! Novel.

Hey, my kombi's playing up. Stupid carburettors. I'm right between Coffs and Port Macquarie. It seems to be flooding the left cylinders, I think. Smells really fuelly behind the car. It runs, up to 80 at least, but stutters and surges and I am quite sure she's not enjoying driving like this. Any suggestions as to self repair? What about garages? Mid Coast in Coffs might be worht a call right? Oh man, what shall I do?

Thanks all. I hope you're all well.

Cheers,
Aurel

if its running really rich on one side then your carbs are prolly out of sync. (twin carbs right???) take it to the nearest VW place and get them to tune the carbs or if u have the john muir book have a read and do it yourself.

Hey guys well here I am. Been so busy lately with the new job. Which I am just loving to pieces. It is a very rewarding job working for the Smith Family by the way make sure you put a gift under the KMART wishing treee for a child in need.
I've missed having the time to catch up but things should settle down after Chrissie. Hope all your VW wishes come true over the Holiday Season.
Tracey and I are still working on the Buggy, again time is a factor.
Hope you are all super Duper Love and Kisses Duckstar!!!

picked up the baja yesterday:bounce left a peice of the kit there by accident but thorun can pick that up with her new type 3 and ill get it off her later.......not bad for 100 bucks:thumb the body is too rusty for me though still fixable but the pan appears to be rust free well the floor is anyway. the baja kit is a little different to mine, only slightly though......still dont know what year it is forgot to write the number from the plate at the front down as the vin on the tunnel has been painted over with some sort of thick black stuff and cant be read. its older than mine though.....it has that old style long fuel tank at the front and u pull the whole handle to open the door.i think its still wired for 6 volt and its got an oil pressure, oil temp and amps guages. engine doesnt go but most parts are there except exhaust its been sitting out in the rain with the carby off the manafold and no exhaust on so id say it is well and truly seized. will get some pics in the next few days

parts to make the super baja i always dreamed of............ it has a seized engine of unknown capacity but its all there bar exhaust, i dont know what year it is as yet as i didnt write down the number from the front plate and u cant see the number on the tunnel its been painted over with tar or something but its got that early style long taller fuel tank......earlier than my 62 baja n e way. but theres a hoard of parts i can use.
