hmmm. i like that bug. the colour reminds me of humpty's (simons) ???
is that a similar colour?
i think if i could do up a bug for drag use it would have to be a split window beetle.
maybe because of the more rod like look that they contain???
i think thats my dads hot rod liking wearing off on me.
dad plans on building a rod sometime soon by the way.
COMPETITION FOR ME!!! but i know he will be getting the garage space :'(. i think i will have to build myself a shed. hehe
i just hope my beetle will be able to beat it. he wants to use a fuel injected chevy small block i think. dunno if he will do it. but he has wanted to
for a while and he is getting to the ripe age of rod building (he is 52 now).

Well I just came back from giving the boat it's maiden voyage.
When like an absolute cracker. 115hp sur gets it moving.
I love living 2 mins from the boat ramp...didn't even get out of second gear going down there.

Yeah, I knocked up the frame so I could move it around to get Pige in, it also makes life easier for me when I am working on it. I can wheel it out
into the sunshine and work outside then just put it back in the corner! The colour is turquoise L380, Im reasonably happy with it, it will become our
daily driver, thats why I want a 1600 for it, although I am sticking to a single port engine so it will still look stock, I have to be practical a
1300 is not big enough for the hills I live in. Are you going to the Gold Coast show?

I just wrote a big speil & then i computer stuffed up & i lost what i wrote.
Jodies beetle is looking great Rob,you've done a really good job.When do you plan on having her on the road??
The kombis o.k although she hates starting.She was always a start first go kind a girl but now she needs a lot of coaxing.Once she warms up though

Bruce may still be comming down, I have too much on at the school, Groundsman are expected to perform miracles at the the end of the year. Im starting
a 5 am and not getting home until 5 pm. I just couldn't cope with a full day after a flight home on the sunday afternoon after the show.

Had a mate of mine stay last night. He's a flight engineer on Hercules up for an excercise. We took the boys out this morning to have a look through
a Herc.
Turns out it was the same one that the guy got killed in, in Iraq a few months ago when they shot at it on takeoff.....:duh
I tell you after what we drank last night it's lucky the flying got called off today.
