ahh bugger on the passenger side the tyre is rubbing on the spring plate when the suspension moves down. there was also a nice little groove forming
where a peice of rubber with a sharp edge bushing between suspension components was fouling the tyre on upward movement. ive now trimmed this back but
still rubbing on the spring plate on passenger side driver side has about
1cm clearance.

Hey barls, thanks for the welcome back. I have been awol for a while but all settled in nicely up here now.
Glad to hear you havent killed any kids yet!! And vice versa, what yr you teaching?
Got another mite on the way here, not sure if tim said anything or not, so am starting to consider looking for a 4 door vw (411?) as it will be a bit
hard getting a newborn in and out of the squareback!

Bami, I have managed to get both my kids in and out of my square quiet easily ( 5months & 16months). It's actually surprising how much you can
fit in a square. I can lug around a double pram, port-a-cot and all the garbage that goes with carting 2 babies around. Keep the square. |
