I bought a splittie so money is going to that for body work, but never fear its so close its not funny, i'm waiting on a set of 944 adjsutable
springplates, need a new wiring harness and thats about it before i build the engine. Just need an exhaust too, damn type 4's thats the expensive
part. Got my dellorto 45 DRLA's also, got a mallory electric fuel pump and regulator to install with an fittings with return to tank setup. Once
adjustable spring plates are installed its off to get suspension set up carried out, going for JEff Unwins reccomendations that he published. I spose
some new photo;s are required hey.

I believe that its low enough now, this is what adjustable beam and drop spindles give you. Also got some goodies for fuel delivery, mallory pump,
mallory regulator and CB 48 throttle bodies. Also a shot of my Dellorto 45 DRLA's overhauled by Art Thraen in Utah, USA for you Vassy.

Well the adjustable 944 spring plates have turned up from canada now i have two sets so i have a set for sale, i will be installing these soon i need
to finish a 2 litre build in the next fortnight and ship that to victoria, then onto the suspension and start building the 2270 finally as my DTMs
will arrive next week. then its just finsihing the braided fuel lines and a little wiring and it should be done.

Yes brakes are done after caliper rebuild. AN fittings and fuel and oil lines are almost done. Engine is almost built just waiting on cylinders to be
machined. Just a bit of electrical work and suspension alignment and we drive. Money has been tight over the last twelve months. I am aiming for
Warwick.

Well I have got the bored and honed to 96mm original German cylinders back from the machine shop. All good i require a 2.5mm/0.100" shim under the
cylinders to get 0.010" deckheight this along with the 0.040" step in the head will give me a cr of 9.5:1. Almost al AN fittings are now ready to
install for fuel and oil lines.

Up to about the same on my type 4 in the Oval, would be interested in seeing some photos of your exhaust set up. Is it a special fabrication or are
they out there ready to buy? I was going to bring over a CSP python set but they are a bit rich by the time you get them to Aust. I have come up with
a design and have started to fabricate my own but I am not a whole lot confident in the performance of the finished product, they will be bloody close
to tunned length but would hate for it to sound shit

57 Oval only the exhaust is available at the moment but if it sounds and performs like the full type 1 system on Matt Berry's 58 "Bluey" i will be
very happy. Apparantly vintage speed will have a complete type 4 into type 1 system available soon.
Sides i have still to hook up the cable linkage but i did install one on Raby's 2.7 litre type 4 dual cab, they are an awesome linkage pedal feel is
very soft not hard like a cb linkage.
Brendan good thing you didn't come round cause the car is at Berry's place in cooroy.

Here's some more pics got all but three lines finished waiting on the fittings and yes i have about ten left over that i won't be using. The
fittings are Phenix brand from USA sourced through Matt Berry Motorsports, they shit all over Earls and the like their all black fittings too i really
hate the blue and red ones. The oil cooler is a dual fan Setrab cooler wasn't cheap but it fits, there was a trick to fitting that with the 5 bar
kafer bar setup, but its in now and aint going nowhere. I have a feed and return line for the fuel system using stainless tube i ran it up the centre
of the tunnel in the pan. So fuel goes from the tank to an inline disc style Russel filter straight into the Mallory fuel pump, then to the Mallory
fuel filter this then goes into the rigid fuel lines in the pan and exits out the frame horn left side into another Russel inline fuel filter straight
into one of two bulkhead fittings into the mallory fuel regulator then to the carbs any excess returns via bypass in regulator to the return line to
tank, as i am running a golf master cylinder i was able to feed return line through original master cylinder resivoir hole in body to a brazed -6 an
fitting in tank. So much braided lines to make but i figured out the tricks required to assemble them and actually enjoy making the lines now. My
oil system runs a full flow system, which leaves the pump cover to a thermostat and returns to filter then back to engine, when oil is at temp the
thermostat opens and allows oil to the cooler which has twin fans which are activated by temp swhitch at entry into thermostat. This has been a major
achievement so now minor things are left to finish it off. Enjoy the pics.
