Looking great westi - can't wait to hopefully see it at warwick, and have a chat with you and all the others off the forum whom I've never met
before!
Good luck with the remainder of the project.

Here is a couple of pics...one when I was building the new 3" narrowed beam.
The tilt front frame will be modified to suit a 300 high aluminium radiator that tilts forwards with twin thermos on the rear. Additional shrouding
will be introduced as well (not to mention a 'real' overflow bottle...)

nice,it's pretty hard to find good welders.the only reason i asked the question is because PWR will make any thing even if you only send them a
drawing, and they give warranty for everything that they make.

Yeah, was thinking PWR - much like my intercooler...even if i just buy the core from them and have my mate make the tanks, support brakets and
radiator mounts.
Will doing the old cardboard mockup for the new radiator and stuff....will have to start my own post to keep you updated.
Thanks again too for keeping us all updated with your build. We're always up for some volksporn :thumb

You built the tilt beam yourself for the front end?
If so awesome job may need to talk about getting one made up for myself :P Very nice work, any chance you could let me in on how your securing the
bonnet to the top of the body so it doesnt open.

the electric fan produces 1000 cfm,
the books tell me 18 to 20 cubic feet per second on a standard pull size which would be around 15 to 18 with a power pulley.@3300 to 4000 rpm.
so standard or modified would be ruffly 1200cfm to 900cfm.
i have 1000cfm on the engine and another 650cfm on the cooler.so hopefully it should be more than enough.
i will be doing two tests at the same time.
i have someone trying the same set up on a stock 1600 with twin carbs.
it should be a good tester anyway.
i have heard so much about this but no one has actually showed what they tried,so i thought i would give it a go.

Westi very nice stuff!
Is the fan going to be always on? Or I guess I am assuming you will be hooking it up to a themostat... Also on a side note, ie extended period driving
the fan would eventually come would the drain on the battery be to much? The reason I ask is I guess there aint much airflow through there while
driving ie like a front mount radiator in a normal car... hope this makes sense...
But I like the work good stuff!!
Cheers
Joel

man hope it works a treat ,if you create this space with this set up ,as said above, the space gained would open up so many options ,super chargers
etc etc cant wait to see if it turns good...in the cooling dept ... still dont like pink though.. but who cares ..
