Hey Paul!

I've just spent the day (about 6 hours) putting a jetski back together with my mate (its kinda his.....) he decided to pull it all apart himself because he had no end of trouble with cruddy marine mechanics - and being a qaulified auto mech, he thought he would give it a go. In my book I'm now a jetski mechanic, and so is he.... and thats my week pretty much.
I have been driving colonel, just locally, and it's going ok, (good temps for driving at night currently..) but the suspension needs attention sooon. rear shocks seem to be getting super noisy, and lots of knocks too. not so great, but had a little more work this week, so might get some cash soon - (and darn stidub now has me searching for some special rear shocks... adjustable...) Still seaching for a full time job, but big citys are lame, and jobs are hard to come by. thinking about applying for a position in a high school with SU qld... but not so sure what to do currently.

hopefully some updates in a few weeks.

Mate, well donr on your new jetski mechanic qualification!! Its all good as long as your mate lets you take the ski out every now and again!!

As for your knocks and rattles....turn the radio up until you can afford to get them sorted out!!

All the best for your job search mate, and will be looking forward to updates!

G'day, I've been waiting on some updates too, but I can see you've been busy with jet skis and what not. Just a side note, what brand was the jet ski and was it 4 or 2 stroke? They're amazing things, as I recall going into our friends local auto/marine work shop where they were working on a jet ski with a shot crank bearing, it was a 3 cylinder Yamaha 2-stroke with 3 carbuerettors with absolutly MASSIVE throats!!! Also whats the go with your youtube channel, as I went to go watch a video of the colonel the other day and apparantly the videos dont exist:(

Anyway all the best with your job search and the bug:tu:

Hey Ryan.

It's a kawasaki - 2 stroke 1100cc 3 cylinder, carbie'd - 3 seater.
The issue with it was that where the shaft from the engine to the prop went through the hull it was leaking in many places, allowing alot of water in and choking the engine. So we had to pull the engine and everthing else out, clean it, get some parts and put it all back together - then actually get to run it properly for the first time. That's a ling story short anyways. It has heaps of guts. Can pull 2
tubes (with adults) and 2 adults on the jetski itself - In the Brisbane river, with 20 other boats around.

YouTube videos - I took them down cause I thought they were pretty ordinary really.

The lack of updates is mainly just becuase of the lack for money and finding it stupidly hard to find jobs in Brisbane - but have to money to set myself up away from home/and a very unreliable way of getting anyway over half an hour away.

Yeah. Had a few spare minutes today to get a new pic, between making pancakes for highschool kids and raising
money for Timor kids.

In other news, I'm totally having debates with people, here there and everywhere, about
alternatives to building a 1915... Fun.

My project has hit the same financial wall as yours at the moment bro.....but slow and steady wins the race eh??

As for the tempting pancake offer....I think you'll find it might end up costing me more than $2!!...and Brissy is a long way to go for a pancake!!

All the best mate....and keep your eyes peeled for a PM in the future :tu:
