Good to see you and hear of your footy antics today.
Got the clutch replaced this afternoon on Nick's 58 'the green bug' and trans input shaft seal replaced. He left before 6. Only went on the hoist
at 2,30.

UPDATE REQUIRED
the weekend prior to Valla, I had finalised all the customer work and got stuck into fitting a few new goodies to the bug. The front end was still
'as purchased'. Riding on the stops was not cool, I had some dropped spindles but needed to narrow the beam to get everything under the guards. I
went with a 2" aftermarket beam with factory needle bearings for the torsion arms. I didn't want the shock towers to rub the body at all and without
cutting the body the 2" is a compromise. I might sneak a little more down the track....so to speak.

So.... as usual, it's out with the old
and in with the new
assemble kingpins with new German link pins
I also fitted a Scat deep sump since a thrashing around Raliegh raceway was on the cards
and some thermal covers on the oil lines for the highway running
All was completed in time and I headed to Valla Wednesday 1-8-12
Bluey was looking sweet with her new stance

Looking good for sure, and the ride with the 3" spindles is smooth as......... until .....1/2 hr north of Balina, 110km zone of beautiful new
highway, following behind Brad for the first time.........BANG
I wore the lot

if your good, you might be able to count the bugs splattered on the inside rear vision mirror
Four hours later at Valla boozer, I was greeted by our mate Luke
lucky I packed a beany, balaclava, scarf, wet weather jacket and a few jumpers..........

So Bluey made it to the track on Thursday with a screen fitted that morning kindly delivered by Luke to our cabin
2.09 on 135's........gotta be happy with that
Saturday .... cruise to Nambucca. So many cars we didn't make it to the main street. Luke was getting worried about fitting in all the cars.... he
asked me to park in the weeds
Sunday... parked up with some buddies
Homeward bound Monday.....running freight too
