Tightened a loose axle nut

Mega marathon 3 stage polish cause grinding debris from rust removal had sat under the roof rack and left rust spots once the dew settled on it before it could be washed

Hooked up a thermocouple and amp so can have cylinder head temp as an input to Jezzi's ECU.

Now I'm using both oil temp and cyl head temp for fuel correction... should make starting and warmup much easier in the cold of Leyburn next month.

Readers might know of Tweety the trike with supercharged EA81 Subaru (soon to be non boosted SPFI) mated to type 3 auto box.

Had over the last 3 months replaced the auto pan gasket twice and it seemed to keep leaking. Had the trike in a mechanics shop recently and he noticed the "O" ring on the auto dip stick tube was the culprit and replaced it. no more leaks. funny how the oil coverage on the pan resembled a leakign pan gasket but was actually an O ring.

my battery has been in the oval for 6.5 years it's been ok if I charge it. Sometimes it wont go if it's been sitting for a while. I hadn't driven the oval for 2 weeks I thought I will just see if it will go with the old battery and guess what it did.

I brought a new one the other day for $105 I fitted it today as I didn't want it to let me down as we are going to sawtell in a couple of weeks.

Took him for a run down the F3 to Toronto. Lovely day for a cruise in the old VW.

I do drive him when it goes. That's why I got a new battery for him so when I do go to take him for a run he should go.

Finished the porting on two intake ports on my last SP head tonight, then started polishing em'. Not too much though to keep the turbulence up enough to keep the fuel as a vapour.

Then had to bloody go back to the first head and sand it more to match the second one as I did a better job second time coming!

funny thing happened this morning on the way to work in my red oval. I received a ticket to the police mans ball in a 60 zone. The last time I received a ticket to the police mans ball was back in the 80's in a beetle:crazy:
would have looks good in a photo on the side of the road with a bright red police car with the flashing lights on behind me.
I was with the flow of traffic going down hill but he said I stood out from the rest as it's a bright red car.
I should of said you would have stood out as well if you weren't parked up a side street.
o well shit happens

Did the policeman tell you that it is not a ticket to the ball,
because the police don't have balls?
