Nah, not going to do it. Even though I sooooo want them done....
I might just save my $$'s and find some sweet 'already polished' Porsche rims.... but I doubt if I'd want to part with the teledials! Dilemma
dilemma....

Looking smick Laws...
get some polish fuchs or 4 stud BRMS and you'll be set... oh, and drop the rear another inch (get KKK off his fat butt to help ya!) or maybe even a
set of polished 928 rims.. they're one of my faves...

yes yes yes, I know semiauto's have IRS, but I realised that after I did the camber.. believe me, it would've been easier to NOT put in the
camber...
Well PPB, I think you should take this path. I've taken the leberty to give you shorter 36HP rear axels and narrowed your front beam by 4.5" or
so...

Hahaha, thanx Chris! :P
Not sure I like those wheels though... but they'd grow on me.
My next thing to get will be a 75amp alternator, then I'd like a narrowed adjustable front beam. Next service I'm going to get the rear lowered a
tad more to even it up with the front. The torsion bars I got a while ago are so good, they didn't settle down hardly any!
Then when I get the narrowed front beam, I'll get some slightly thinner tyres for the back, and she'll be lowered all round a bit more!

I love Empi's, but not sure about a set on my car... she was built around the teledials, I'd feel bad changing them to something else anyway!

Thanx Damien, but I'll keep what I have thanx.
I agree Steve, teledials are awesome. Some Bugs may not suit them, but I love them on mine.

a lot of new rims come out in "shadow chrome" but it's paintable.. my boss' uncle does it as he runs a custom paint buisness "racepaint" where
he just finished a beetle for his daughter
it looks like a brillian silver on the face of the spokes, and then a dark silver almost getting to black in the sides/shadows
would suit the dials no end

I haven't been to AVD in a while so I've been going through all the Members' Rides. I'm also loving the colour P.B.B. Great ride!
After looking at the first picture I thought the colour was similar to mine (pic below) but yours is actually lighter in the sunlight.
I've been in Denmark for a year and haven't seen my bug in that long! Can't wait to get back to her!
It sounds like you're having a really fun time learning about your VW! Enjoy it and welcome to the boards!
