Hey sides,
can't say i do actually. I have all the brake stuff ready to go - but .........
all my tie rod ends and both ball joints are shot, im getting some serious clunky noises happening....
but my reasoning is this (and some may say its stupid, and it probs is) - I want to get it lowered, so im buying all the parts (lowering appropriate)
from topline, and getting the flip it kit machined into some hubs (dave olsen/DB) getting narrow springs and getting new wheels and tires (buckled
steelies dont balance well, and 12 psi isn't great every 2 weeks) so its all done in one hit. I was going to be getting my front brakes done by a
certain mechanic (who we both know) - yet i dont think he agree's with me lowering the car, so im waiting to get all the stuff i need, then maybe
suggesting having a working bee with pizza as a reward

Yeah, OK - fair enuff - it's good you have a plan !!!
The front stuff I have no idea on since I've never worked on a super or L, but let us know when it comes to rear end lowering time... done that job
more than few times (and yes, it can be a right pain just like everyone says)
btw - you can do all your mods and lowering and still keep the stock wheels, at least for a start... might make the $$$ and timing aspects a bit
easier to manage....

have ordered a lower swaybar from topline... need to get their tapereed springs to go with my new adjustable struts. noticed their rebuild kits are
mega expensive so will be emailing people to try and get some parts - any suggestions (bushes/balljoint/tie rod ends) - have some ideas on upgrading
tie rods depending on price too....
and yes, wheels are the least important part. Rear lowering hopefully at the same time - same weekend. just have to find a time when a few people can
give me a hand on a weekend.

Canadian tie rods from vdub engineering arrived yesterday arvo. Dave dropped these to me last night!
Took some pics of my set this morning. Cheers Dave!

They are painted in grey hammertone. quite heavy for a tie rod!

Hey colonel,
Just email the pics from your iphone to yourself, then download them on a PC/MAC.
My brother does it all the time. He sent me through a video using the same method yesterday.
Gotta get me an iphone.
