Progress is a lil slow atm. I think the fundage tree is receiving a bit of fertiliser to grow some more moolah.

Next job is steering which my uncle is going to do. He's busy atm so Troy has to wait till he has room in the shed for his car. Going rack and pinion and he's also doing all the steering arms etc etc as well.

Here's a pic of the new heads with the inlets ported. Some welding will be done to manifolds as once they are match ported the sealing surface will be very thin. Running big boost a decent sealing area will be needed!!

Maybe a dumb question, but is it possible to O-ring or copper gasket 'em like on say throttlebodies to manifolds... or are the temps too high for that to work ???

Not enough surface area Dave to o ring as it's too thin. On one corner of the manifolds it needs welding up to at least get some sort of decent sealing surface to hold 30psi of boost pressure.

Well that is a question Troy can answer but i guess by only running 30 psi it might give you a chance of keeping up for the first 100 feet or so lol

Ok the heads will flow 181.9hp aspirated. This is just a theoretical calculation and there are a lot of factors that could change the figure. So with 30psi it makes 460 atw. Troy.

That number 181.9 is at .600" with the plenums on top.
With just IDA manifolds, they flow 195.64 @.650".

new turbo has been ordered, it a GT42. Compressor wheel is 74.80 x 102.40 and exhaust is 75.35 x 81.70. Should make some good HP with that!!

Engine build starts in a few weeks, starting to make some progress. Just have to finish off the steering set up and start the tin work around the front, put the engine in and look at getting the new exhaust made for the new turbo.
