Kombi involved in fatality near Byron Bay

A Kombi hit a pedestrian on the Pacific Hwy last night, and unfortunately died at the scene...

Pretty full on for the kombi driver, gotta wonder why someone was walking in the dark on the highway at night...

Didn't hear about that. That's really unfortunate. I've had a lot of close shaves in similar circumstances so I guess someone was going to cop it eventually. I think about on par with the road wanderers are the blinkered phone users. Don't look at all before stepping out and feel the need to abuse when you avoid running them over.

All I can say is that we need to be careful. moreso than ever. More people, more erratic behaviour. I don't want to be responsible for ending someone's life and I'm sure everyone else feels that way too.
