What oil are you Quaife equipped boys running?
Hey
Interested to hear feedback on the options for a VW transaxle with a quaife fitted.
What are you running or what have you run?
Wjich has given the best performance in your opinion?
Cheers
Marcus

I use CASTROL epx 80/90 in my quaife gbox, which is just the stardard GBox oil.

Wow... thinking about oil already Marcus... great to know the biggest deciding factor isn't "which gives off the most heat in a bonfire" !!!
I had one of Redline's oils in my Quaife box... MT90 it might have been (GL4 either 80/90 or SAE 90).
Also know of people who've run the 'Smurf's Blood' in 'em... Redline Shockproof I think it is, tho Quaife's aren't meant to be as picky as a
clutch pack type of diff like a ZF...

Thanks for your responses
I did read from Quaife that they did not ask for anything super special but was still interested in people's own experiences.
Yep Dave S, no bonfire sorry bud

Have Castrol VMX-M I think it is in there now.
Did a bit of research and it seemed to come up trumps - especially for where not necessarily getting up to temps before leaning on it.

I use the same in my 6spd porsche box, with a quaife diff centre.
Just don't use a light grade oil like ATF, as the stub shafts will wear quick and grab on the sprung centre.
